The following link gives a brief description of Taladas:

http://www.dragonlance.com/reference/display.asp?id=11744

As for novels, the first Dragonlance novel set in Taladas is due in April of 2005.

Gaming material there is:

-Time of the Dragon boxed set from 1989, compatible with 1st and 2nd edition AD&D.
-A trilogy of adventure modules: Dragon Dawn, Dragon Knight, Dragon's Rest
-An accessory: Taladas, the minotaurs

That was pretty much it, as far as material focusing specifically on Taladas.

Taladas is also covered in the amazing Time of the Dragon Box set.

if you do a search on it, in conjunction with my user name, you'll find a really good description of the place.

A few of the old comics (7 I think) were also set in Taladas, "Landfall," "The Dragonring Saga," "The Gathering," and then a one shot comic that I can't remember. Sorry...can't remember the issue numbers...I think they were in the 20's.

Sovereign Press has every intention of doing a Taladas sourcebook, but you have to wait for it!

The (very old) computer game, Dark Queen of Krynn, also mainly took part on Taladas.

There's one other module called New Beginnings set in Taladas. It's designed specifically with the 1st time DM in mind.

I most honestly say that I don't like the idea of more sourcebooks for Taladas!

In my opinion, the O' Rance works are all a Dm needs at this moment.

I don't think a sourcebook declaring those works ELSEWORLD or detailing the After WoS time would attract people -
what the fans really WOULD need were new adventures for the current T settings!
The ones *more or less* avaible - I am talking about the Dragon Dawn module and its followers - were of the worst I ever had to use as a DM!

If they begin to exploit the T topic like they did with Ansalon, I think I will lead my players to Adlatum or the isles of the brutes *somewhere on Krynn where a DM has not to read 50 books to stay up to date*.

Just leave it to the fans and make new suppliements to Fourth Age and Godless Age.

And what about an Age of Might Sourcebook for T?
I SURELY WOULD BUY THAT!
:D :D :D :D

Better yet, Taladas in its entirety, including multiple eras of play.

Taladas sucks.

Does that make you feel more normal, Tal? Just trying to do my part. :D

(for the record, I actually find Taladas very intriguing)

I think there are many DMs and players out there focusing their campaigns mainly on Taladas - take into account that it was the only freely avaible sourcebook stuff for DL in the WWW for a long time.
But as there were no more sequels to the four O'Rance books and then such a public interest for the KoD campaign, those dropped big T for a time.
But Taladas lives!

I dungeonmastered for a group of young RPG Addicts of about 12 years of age (I am doing kinda social work for my community) that had never heard of Taladas or DL, but played the Eberron and FR stuff.
And you know what: They liked it such much that now, one year later, they're doing their own Taladas adventures without having ever played a quest in Ansalon!

I'm thinking of running a Taladas based game. I sort of already am, but not quite. I made my own continent up, because at the time I didn't feel like running one on Ansalon and I didn't really know anything about Taladas (not a whole lot of info out there for it during 2ed). So I made my own, which is a cross of generic DnD, Ansalon, and Taladas. It's worked out well since no one in the group knows their on Krynn, all they know is that their on a world that works like Krynn. I think after the realease of some more Taladas based novels, so I can get a better feel for the realm, I'll try my hand at it. Maybe I'll start a Sat afterrnoon game.

I just broke out my old Taladas stuff. I really forgot how great that box set was. The maps and even the interior of the book is great! I can't wait to see 3.5 material.
