Just as an interesting note, WotC's page for their GenCon Indy schedule is hedlined by one picture...a pic of Margaret and Tracy.

Not all that important, but neat none-the-less.

Here.

And Margaret is wearing a Dragonlance T-shirt. I was not aware such a novelty existed.

Wizards of the Coast allowed us to create a limited number of Dragonlance T-Shirts for the launch last year that was used for our convention staff and volunteers. They are few in number, and (unfortunately) not for sale!

We have investigated the idea of producing merchandise (T-shirts, coffee cups, etc.) under license from Wizards of the Coast. There is no agreement at the present time, but if that changes I'll left everyone know!

Right now we have a full volunteer staff for GenCon, though I thank everyone who has offered their services. We'll certainly take you up on your offer the moment we have a need!

Yes and any chance that you guys will ever be able to freely distribute stuff with out Wizards permission ever, even it means buying the license back or whatever you have to do?

We are very grateful for the license we have now! It has allowed us to bring Dragonlance gaming back to the fans and it keeps me gainfully employed. While you never know what the future may bring, we are happy doing what we are doing!

Still it would be nice to see full DL back fully in the hands of it's creators. I'm thankful and grateful to WoTC for what we have now and to SP for doing what they've done, but total creative control once again would be truly awesome.

i'm very curious. Margaret Weis is in charge of Sovereign Press. Who are these mystical other creators you want to control DL?

I think what he means and I mean is not to have to go through WoC for the ok on everything. I mean I would like to see them be able to put out more than two products a year, and other such stuff, T-Shirts, paintings, action figures, inaction figures... and the like.

Sorry I didn't clarify myself...for once. I didn't want to write an essay like I usually do. Yes I meant what GCS said/typed. I would like to see SP have full creative licence on everythin DL, but as I said I am very happy and grateful to WoTC and SP for what we have now and wish them the best for the future.
