Greetings faithful people of the Crimson Sun!

Here are 2 questions for you:

1- Does a defiler who counterspels defile the land?

2- Why is it illegal to have Drake's hide? I have been searching for this info but haven't found any.

Thanks.

my take on 1 -

yes, because he either has to tap energy on the spot (defile) or he would use a spell slot, in which case be previously defiled to gain that spell. I'm a sticker for the old 2e concept of there were two ways to deal with spells memorisation, to it all at once (memorise + gather energy) or seperatly, and gather when needed.

1. Yes.

2. Magic. Powerful. These two things means Templars & Sorcerer-Kings generally are more interested in taking them away from people, than letting people roam free with them.
