I've always found the land of the unforgiving sun intriguing, but I really have no access to canon information.
Where is the past history of Athas detailed?
Can anybody please post an abbreviated version?

I'm really in the dark. :embarrass

The Dark Sun Timeline shows the highlights of the past. It covers the deep past until events that have not yet occured.

Thanks, taht was really usefull.
Now I have some doubts.
Besides being an exemplar of goodness, why did Rajaat thought that destroying all races would return the Blue Age? What was exactly the Brown Tide? Were all Champions halflings?

Destroying all the races wouldn't have brought back the Blue Age by itself. Rajaat wanted to bring back the initial race: the halflings.
Rajaat believed that the halflings were the only pure race (since all other races derived from them), and so were the only race that deserved the rebirth of the Blue Age.

Rajaat's Champions were humans, not halflings, because they had more potential as wizards then the little people. The Champions probably would have been destroyed by Rajaat once the Cleansing wars were over.

The brown Tide is what was destroying the world back in the Blue Age... but I don't know what caused it.

Hope this helps!:D

During the Blue Age, the Rhulisti were trying to find a way to double what the oceans could provide(life) thrue life-shaping rituals( manipulating the very building blocks of life.) But something went wrong during the rituals and instead of the expected effect, the Brown Tide was created( which is said to be a plant like growth later killed with the aid of the sun's energy.)

--so the first Downfall of Athas was the Rhulisti's falt.

Who are the Rhulisti?
Was there a Champion for humans?
Is there a list of all Champions?
What caused the Green Age to end? Rajaat's imprisionment?

Who are the Rhulisti?

The first halflings of Athas.

Was there a Champion for humans?

Officially, no. I am sure someone will come and tell you about Hamanu now.

Is there a list of all Champions?

Yes.

What caused the Green Age to end? Rajaat's imprisionment?

The Time of Magic and the Cleansing Wars. Read this again.

In RaFoaDK, which is considered "loose" material when it comes to officialdom, Hamanu was made differently from the other Champions and was to be the Human killing Champion when all was said aqnd done with the other races.

Well, he's also described as being made differently than the others in the PRism Pentad. It's not just Rise and Fall.
