My memory is a little fuzzy on the Gord books and the theopart....what was the artifact discovered at the end of Saga of Old City? Was that part of the Theopart?

You are correct, sir.

Another theopart was found in the Suss forest in Artifact of Evil, eventually ending up in the hands of Iuz. Presumably this gave him some of the pwoer that he brought to bear in the Greyhawk Wars.

Any idea what part Gord, Curley and Chert found? The Initiator, The Awakener or the Unbinder??? Curley brought the artifact to the Hierophants and I don't remember hearing anything else about it....

Not sure what alignments were associated with each part....

Awakener (NE) in the Suss Forest. Unbinder (LE) in the old Suel city.

If you need any info about Gord, go here ;)

Gord's Greyhawk is an excellent site...though that site has the first portion, the Initiator, being found by the Scarlet Brotherhood, and not Gord as discussed at the end of Saga...did Gord and the rest find something else?

Initiator = Chaotic Evil - Scarlet Brotherhood, found ???
Awakener = Neutral Evil - Iuz, found in the Suss Forest
Unbinder = Lawful Evil - Grazzt, found in Sea of Dust

I always found it a great joke that the SB had the CE part while a demon-lord had the LE one :D

But, yes, Gord & Cie also found (at the end of the first book) the Jeweled Orrery in an old cairn guarded by a cataboligne demon. It allowed the forces of Balance to discover the Theopart was active again.

Plus a whole lot of magic items, some very powerful. I wouldn't mind having Gord's ring for instance ...

As Mortepierre correctly pointed out, the artifact Gord, Chert, and Curley found was NOT part of the tripartite Artifact of Evil, but was in fact a different aritifact that when found was meant to serve as a signal that part of the Artifact of Evil had been found.

You can find the relevant information about the artifact that Gord, Chert, and Curley discovered in the first book (Saga of Old City) in the second book of that series which was called Artifact of Evil (Greyhawk Adventures, Book 2, by E Gary Gygax), on pages 36-37 and 46-51.
