The Gates of Hell continue to gape!

What mortals have come to expect from the devils of Hell is not necessarily accurate. The true nature of Hell has been muddied by rumor, legend, and myth, confusing mortals and causing many to go astray. Now, with new information gleaned from those who have braved the Powers of The Pit, many of these myths and legends have been clarified. Herein discover the differences between the enigmatic cosmic entities and the gods of the Creation. Herein uncover the secrets of diabolical advancement. And, herein, discover new devils heretofore unseen by most mortals. From the chromatic legions of the squamugons, who lead arcane spellcasters into depravity, to the god-like malefircareim, the Children of the Devil, become privy to ever more secrets of Hell!

Can you withstand the glare of the ancient power that waits patiently in the Nine Hells of Perdition, ready to overwhelm you and the Cosmos you hold dear? Look into The Gates of Hell and find out!

um, serge... shouldnt the advancement on a Nessian Pit fiend be 38-54 instead of 37-54... sorry, im an ass. HAHA.

i myself always saw (and in my gaming world they are) the pit fiends of Nessus as paragon pit fiends of varying HD. CR 35 right off the bat... and they only get worse... HAHA

Well, the philosophy we have at Dicefreaks stipulates that if there are paragons, that there is only one per race. And by race, that would be at the pinnacle of a common race. So, for devils, the pinnacle of the common "race" are pit fiends. So, there is only one paragon devil and that paragon is a pit fiend. You'll meet him in Chapter Five.

ah, i see. cool cool. it helps control the balance of things...

i simply drew upon the 'Guide to Hell' in that each pit fiend and cornugon created from Asmodeus' blood had maximum HD. 2e had no advancement range, 3ed does... so i just envisioned the 'whys' to how nothing ever invades Nessus and paragons simplifiy make such a vision a cruel reality... its not just the Dark Lord... its all those super powerful, max hp pit fiends.

other than that, nice job!!
