I am looking for an adventure set in the Age of Light or in the Age of Might. I would prefer it to deal with one of the following events: first dragon war, second dragon war, Kinslayer War, Swordsheath Scroll, or Vinas Solamnus.

I can't find any of these events in adventure form, but I hope I just haven't found them yet. If anyone knows of their existence, I would appreciate it.

Thanks much.

Tal's right...they just don't exist at the moment.

Just one little clarification though...there is no "Age of Light." There is a "Time of Light" and it is during the "Age of Dreams." For future reference, all the items you're looking for (First and Second Dragon War, Kingslayer War, Swordsheath Scroll's first signing, Vinas Solamnus, and the Third Dragon War) they all take place during the Age of Dreams. The Third Dragon War effectively ends the Age of Dreams, and the Age of Might begins (which is essentially the reign of the Empire of Istar).

Hope that helps some...sorry there isn't more. (maybe we can convince Sovereign Press to do a source book on the Age of Dreams at some point)

I thought that I read somewhere that they were going to be releasing a product for the time before the 1st Cataclysm.

IIRC, the idea has been floated but nothing official has been declared and it's a long ways off (if at all).

Thanks for telling me that I'm out of luck. I expected this to be the case. Well, I guess I'll just have to come up with something myself. I haven't read the books in quite some time, so I'm in for a difficult time i suppose.

As for my reference to the Age of Light, that is how it is referred to in the 2nd edition Dragonlance Adventures book.

My idea was to have the player's each make a character without a background and of a non-specified race. By non-specified, I mean that they are no particular race, but are some sort of unknown entity. Their existences would begin in the presence of Astinus of Palanthus. (I hope I am remembering correctly that he is essentially an avatar of Gilean). He would tell them that due to some plot by the Queen of Darkness in the distant future, the timeline has been disrupted. A few of her servents have been sent to each of the major events of Krynn's history. Usually, they will have made very minor changes that have huge results. As a result, the party will be able to inhabit the bodies of various individuals throughout time.

I intend for this to result in a very comprehensive walk through Krynn's history. I expect it to take quite some time to go from beginning to end. When I get to the history that has adventures written, I will just use those (War of the Lance, etc.).

9000-8500 PC: Choosing Homes
Ogres claim the mountains, elves claim the forests and humans claim the plains.

I may start here. Perhaps the servents of evil will try to prevent one of these three races from finding their destinations. Most likely they will attempt this by trickery, misinformation, and misdirection. I am not sure though if I will give the PC's any knowledge of what is supposed to happen or if I will let them try to figure it out themselves.

In a way, I got this concept from Quantom Leap. They jump from body to body trying to set things right. And just like Sam Beckett, they don't know what they are trying to fix until they investigate it a lot. As you can see, when they jump to the next body, they will have the physical attributes of the host body, but they will keep their own mental attributes.

So, does anyone have any suggestions or comments. Thanks for reading all the way to this point.

Haha as I was reading this it was exactly what I was thinking and was going to say it but i guess that was your point. I think its a good idea, as in a storyline, maybe not canon but thats not the point of roleplaying. So i say go with it sounds interesting and let us know how it goes.

As for my reference to the Age of Light, that is how it is referred to in the 2nd edition Dragonlance Adventures book.

The Ages have gone through a bit of, ah...redefinition in their time. DLA says one thing, then Tales of the Lance says another. I think Tales of the Lance had about 7 ages.

The SAGA 5th Age boxed set turned some of the Ages into Times. So the Age of Dragons is now the Time of Dragons.

Yeah, SAGA went back to the original Dragonlance Adventures timeline (with the Leaves updates) set up...although I'm not sure if they used the exact same names...I'd have to check. This also fit with Dragons of Summer Flame which specifically states "so starts the fifth age of man"...and since the Dragonlance SAGA stuff was called "Fifth Age"...I think it was important to go back to DLA material. But at the same time, it was a nice compromise using the "Ages" from Tales of the Lance and turning them into smaller "Times"...very nice colaberation.
