I will be starting a DL campaign here in about a week, and recieved all of the characters today. Looking through them, out of the 7 players 5 of them chose Habbakuk as their diety. So I thought of maybe doing something around that aspect.

This game will be taking place during the War of the Lance, and will start just prior to Silvanesti being attacked. I know that not to much, if any, info regarding Habbakuk during this time was really available. But do any of you have any suggestions or idea's of how to maybe intigrate some aspect of the Blue Pheonix into the campaign?

The gods dont return to being worshipped, except for the gods of magic, until the disks of Mishakel are found in Xax Tsaroth. The elves might be old enough to remember the gods and clerics and have kept the memory alive, waiting for the gods to return. I dont know if that helps ya out.

Some of the evil gods approached mortals before the disks were found and showed them that they had returned (i.e. Ariakas).

You could do the same with Habbakuk, but that kinda undermines the whole point of the disks...

Well you could have the heros of your campaign begin, by hearing of armies massing, and go to investigate the rumours (Heros of the Lance style) then when the disks are found have good old Habbi appear b4 them and tell them he has returned and has an important mission, ie kill sea dragon or somthing nifty like that. Or for that matter, just let them be the ones who discover the Gods of the Sea or Nature have returned.... I mean if the Heros of the Lance can discover the Gods of healing why can't yours discover the Gods of Nature?

Really you don't need to wait until the Disks of Mishikal are found and returned to have people as followers of Habbakuk. They could have the same views as he does and they would just then be lay followers until the Disks are found. The thing with the Disks is that there are no clerics of healing on Ansalon until the Disks are recovered. That doesn't mean that your party cannot find some sacred object of Habbukuk that will allow them to learn of him and his teachings. They could have them find the Dragonsilver Leaves of Habbakuk or something like that. Of course before then you can have people that hold the same views and values as the gods of good. Once the disks or your sacred item are found, those that want to become clerics, rangers, or druids of Habbakuk can then do so. Until then, all they know is that these 5 hold the same values as each other, which usually helps low-level parties stay out of too much trouble anyway.

Well, one of my players has been wanting to run a cleric for like 4 years now, so he finally had a chance, so I decided to let him. So he is a cleric of Habbakuk. At the moment he don't have any spellcasting abilities, but mainly focused in herbs and healing stuff like that.

So Koranith's idea I think would work awsome in this case, giving the cleric a bit of focus and brionging the divine magic into play for himself. Some good idea's though, thanks so far :P

Even without the gods there were other followers to lead the way a great example would be a forrest guardian NPC. There might also be some artifacts or magic items dedicated to the god.

The gods dont return to being worshipped, except for the gods of magic, until the disks of Mishakel are found in Xax Tsaroth. The elves might be old enough to remember the gods and clerics and have kept the memory alive, waiting for the gods to return. I dont know if that helps ya out.

Since they are Silvanesti maybe they find some of the artifacts left behind in the Tower of High Sorcery in Istar?

Tower of Istar is at the bottom of the Blood Sea at the time the war begins. Maybe if they were the Dargonesti (or is it the Dimernesti...I can never keep them straight) they could find an artifact from the Tower of Istar. I don't know if there are any ruined towers near Silvanesti.

The Ruins?
Also, if Lorac could sneak the dragon orb out of the Tower, why couldnt a cleric do so after the mages left?

They couldn't because the mages grabbed and took everything that wasn't nailed down from Istar to Wayreth.

Which ruins are you talking about? The Tower of Istar is at the bottom of the Blood Sea of Istar. The nearest ruins of a tower of high sorcery are in Kendermore, at least 300 miles outside their forest realm. During this time period elves are not well liked by the outside world and neither are they very inclined to leave the wooded wonderland.
