I know we're not supposed to talk about novels here, so I won't mention anything specific.

All I really want to say is that the DL novel line is a tremendous asset to the DL RPG. There is so much good stuff in those novels that really help to flesh out the world in a way sourcebooks never can. Even obscure stuff that no one thinks about often gets a novel written about it. Other campaign worlds should take a page out of the DL books (pardon the pun :D ).

Bravo!

It's not as simple as that. See the link at the bottom of my sig.

So was my post appropriate or not? I wasn't talking about any specific novel and I was relating them all to the DL world in general.

yes it was appropriate, personnally i don't like how we are not supposed to speeak about novels on the wizards boards when the novels fall under their juresdiction, and gaming products under sovereign press'

It's completely retarded. If people would just learn to be respectful (especially of authors and the WotC employees) would wouldn't be having this problem.

Although after reading BigSis's post...I wonder if there wasn't some proprietary reasons for it as well (she certainly emphasized not talking about plot lines and possible future plot lines a lot, didn't she?) Still, that doesn't change the fact that on the official boards, you aren't allowed to talk about the product. That sends the signal that WotC doesn't want to hear about it...screw the fans, we'll do the novels how we damn well please. I'm sure that is not the case, but that's really how it is coming across.

Well, let's just try and obey the rules and keep things positive.
