Welp, i recently discovered this really cool campain setting called (drumroll) "Dragonlance", and supposidly over a hundred novles have been writen on it, and wouldnt ya know it, half my players have read a few. Now, iv done plenty of online searching, so i know who all the heroes of the lance are, i know raistlin was supermage and had his own tower, and such, and iv read all the background in the 3rd edition campain book, but ya know, i need more. Failing to find anything in depth online, i shout a plee to the forum community, for a link or something, to somewhere i can get caught up with things. mabey a few page long recaps of some of the books, or anything would be appriciated. I find Dragonlance awsome, but i simply cant read 20 books before next week's game.

Thanks for your help, DM X...

Seriously, the DLCS and the Age of Mortals, War of the Lance and other sourcebooks will give you the best recap you can get.

There are so many novels to summarise its kind hard where to start.

Check out www.dragonlance.com and www.dl3e.com

Welcome to Dragonlance

To answer your question, I need to ask you a question first. What era of Dragonlance are you playing in?

1. War of the Lance?
2. Age of Mortals?
3. Other?

From your brief synopsis of your situation above it sounds as though you're going to play in the War of the Lance era ...

I say you read the very first dragonlance novel: Dragons of Autumn Twilight, that will give you some background... Then use some refrence books, like Player's Guide to the Dragonlance saga or something similar...
