Well,by now you must have realized i'm a curious lil' berk so why don't you everybody write down your Favourite Domain Lords & Favourite NPCs (official) & Favourite Domains & Favourite Household Appliances stating why (very very briefly) I'll start (NOT IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE)
DOMAINS
1.Souragne (just love monkey island 2 swamps, voodoo, crocodiles,Chickenbone and general atmosphere)
2.Barovia (for reasons of tradition, you know carpathian mountain roads, darkness and fear, amoral vistani, dracula scenery and sentimental ties)
3.Verbrek (just love werewolves-loup garous especially-,moon rituals, their religion and notoriety)
4.Darkon (has everything)
5.Har'rakir (mummy-egyptian thing,contrast to more civilized places)
6.Nova Vaasa ( sentimental reasons from my campaign, love set up)

LORDS
1.Lord Soth (the best just read the novels, also he escaped beautifullyyy)
2.Strahd (same, best after Gary Oldman ever)
3.Anton Misroi (just love his style and personality)
4.Malocchio (spooky and temperamental,VERY EVIL like Azalin,i made him quite more powerful in mine)
5.Ankhtepot (status,he's even mentionned in MONSTROUS MANUAL as the first)
6.Azalin (raw power and cruelty)

NPCs
1.Chickenbone (i love that guy,so does my players' respect shows)
2.Jander Sunstar (i think we all like him a bit)
3.Mrs Haywood (sweet lil' lady where Van Richten gets some books)
4.Dragonov (i liked him in Mordenheim novel and his portraits)
Tired thinking of npcs the best are the ones you create and their are so many that i can't think (Mallistroi is good one now).

Sorry for the length,it seemed a good idea in the beginning

Just thought I'd point out that Malocchio is not a darklord. Gabrielle Aderre, his mother, is the darklord of Invidia.

my favorite domains are Barovia, Mordent, Souragne, Bluetspur, the Shadow Rift, and Forlorn.

my favorite darklords are Strahd, Soth, Harkon Lukas, Vecna, Frantisek Markov and the three hags of Tepest.

favorite NPCs would be Inajira, the Gentleman Caller, Lyssa Von Zarovich, Rudolph Van Richten, and Jacqueline Montarri.

What domain is Vecna the darklord of? I wasn't aware he was still in the setting.

His domain is called Cavitius. I believe it's one of the smaller domain floating in the sea of mist.

He isn't anymore. Canon-wise he departed in "Die Vecna Die!". That said, some RL-fans just can't accept that. Which goes to prove that humans can be even more stubborn than the Dark Powers :D

I still can't get over how cheesy the title for that adventure was

I don't have a problem with the fact that Vecna's not currently a darklord. I wasn't aware we could only list current DLs, I was listing my "all-time" favorites.

None of these are in any order to speak of-

Domains-
1 Hazlan
2 Kartakass
3 Mordent
4 Sourange
5 Richemulot- specifically, in its non-canon alternate guise of Ricoba.

Darklords
1 Soth. All hail buckethead.
2 Harkon Lukas
3 Mordenheim. No, not Adam, Mordenheim. Yes, I know he's not the Darklord in canon... so what?
4 Vlad Drakov- So much fun to hate.
5 Strahd. All the founder of the setting.

NPCs-
1 The Weathermay-Foxgrove Twins (they're one character, as far as I care)
2 Semine

4 The Gentleman Caller

Domains:
1) Borca: God, I love political intrigue, and especially "poison politics." The thin line between religion as the benefactor and religion as an opiate for the masses and tool of the establishment inherent to the Home Faith is intriguing to me as well.
2) Dementlieu: Much the same reasoning, plus most of my PCs love to hate the French. ;)
3) Odiare: Puppets scare the living crap out of me. My fiancee collects them. I have nightmares. 'Nuff said, I think.
4) Darkon: I love the scope of the realm, and by the time my PCs go there, they usually know enough to not stay long. Inevitably in my Ravenloft campaigns as well, I have a newbie PC who knows nothing about the world and wants to be from a "fantasy country." They usually wind up with a nasty shock. Even sweeter was a newbie PC who was from Darkon and picked the last name "Drakov" because it "sounded cool." :evil glee:
5) Falkovnia: It's my quintessential domain of "man's cruelty to man." Almost all of the evil here is human, and after a few dozen bouts with supernatural horrors of the worst sort, I like to let my PCs see a little of the countryside... with impalements.

Darklords
1) Harkon Lukas: What can I say? He's so damn genial. My PCs learn to love him (or quietly tolerate him as "that one gay bard"), and usually never find out in-character that he's responsible for their screwing. A couple of the newbie PCs from my last game still don't know he's a darklord.
2) Azalin: I love the dusty old galoot. He's massively powerful, brilliantly intelligent, utterly ruthless, and nigh-unkillable. He's Ravenloft's Dr. Doom, and I like them for much the same reasons.
3) Ivana Boritsi: I always found her fascinating, and now that her art actually makes her hot again it's a bonus.
4) Maligno the Carionette: See above. I hate puppets.
5) Gabrielle Aderre: Another hotty, and one with an amazingly rich personality. I also think she's cool for being the first darklord in Ravenloft's history to have even a halfway decent chance of being redeemed.

NPCs
This one's hard because I usually wind up liking my own NPCs better than most of the canon ones.
1) Eleni of Toyalis: Another villainess who tops the charts on both hot and interesting. I like her backstory, I like her attitude, I like her look, and I like the fact that she's actually loyal.
2) The Gentleman Caller: What's up with him? He's one of the great mysteries of the setting, and one I want to see revealed! I have to admit as well, I like the Caller less than I like the possible adventure left in his wake.
3) S: The author of the Doomsday Gazetteers is one of my favorite new characters. I know that she doesn't want to be compared to van Richten by including lots of autobiography in her work, but I would like to know something definite about her. The inference we get from the Gaz's are enough to include her on this list, though.
4) The Living Brain: Creepy and direct. I don't normally care for Mordenheim's FAILURES OF SCIENCE!, but the Brain gives me a really good reason to utilize psionics in Ravenloft, as well as being an interesting twist on the "cunning manipulator" villain archetype.
5) Rudolph van Richten: I like "old and busted" Rudolph better than "perfect crusader" Rudolph any day of the week. He's also nice to have as an example of how you can be a do-gooder in Ravenloft and actually change people's lives for the better as well as surviving a decently long time.

I have always run my Games in Borca and thus Ivan and Ivana are my favourite Darklords. Hida Jiremi sums up my thoughts on the Realm in his post, though there is more to it than just politics for me. I always liked the possibility for description as well as the relative normalcy and stability of the realm. The darklords are also pretty accessible to the players and my players spent a lot of time with Ivana Boritisi, in fact two of the players were regularly attempting to win her affections.

I did like the religious aspects that the realm could offer and both Darklords made hefty donations to the local knightly order, who did everyone the service of ridding the land of fiends.

Decadent entertainment is certainly the order of the day in Borca. I still remember the look on a players face when he was offered the choice of how a debtor should be executed. He opted for stoning in the end. I remember he made an off hand comment about being lawful neutral (to the other players) and then asked for more wine. I thought he handled the decision rather well.

It was very good wine.

My favorite domain was always Darkon, although I liked the flavor of Har'akir and Sithicus. Barovia is interesting and I have always admired the stylistic elegance of the mist motif.

Of my favorite darklords, I have always liked Azalin the most. Strahd, Soth, and Anhktepot are other firm favorites.

I do it for cannon only, as my homebrew would mean nothing to anyone.
Favorite Domain:
Barovia,
Tepest,
Nova Vaasa (Lots of activity and have yet to use Malken. I just don't find him interesting)
Richemulot (All of those empty streets, lead to so much trouble and have so much potential).
Darkon (why not.)

Favorite Darklords
Strahd Von Zarvovich (I've never had so much fun with an NPC)
The Three Hags (They scare the hell out of my players)
Azalin (I've used him only twice, but I like reading what he has to say)

Favorite Cannon NPCs
Ratic Ubel (The only one I've ever used)
