Have the later TSR dice. solid. but would love some cool sets, not the elongated ones, but heavy, cool, transparent or whatever....any suggestions??

Hello, Wizzy.  Chessex currently has a really cool limited press run set out called Borealis, where they are transparent but with minute sparkles.  I personally prefer the clear/green ones myself.  Most gaming stores should carry them.

try crystal caste dice.........they have some that are made of semiprecious stones and such......i think they make silver and gold plated dice also......beware though....they have some sets that are over a hundred dollars......
