Doesn't he have the Death Knight template? Or Black Guard prc?

Yes. He's a male death knight human fighter 7/rogue knight 10, with a CR of 22.

You really don't want to flank him, either. His Desperate Strike ability (from rogue knight) gives him a +4d6 to weapon damage rolls when he's flanked by two or more opponents.

Cheers,
Cam

I was wondering...there is no official stats to back me up, but I think the aged Fifth Age Caramon Majere would be level 17+... he has been through a lot by that stage, and if I recall correctly, he had a fairly high reputation score in the SAGA system (which equates to levels in D&D)

EDIT: oops posted in wrong thread. oh well

Not sure why Caramon is even brought up in this discussion, but yes Caramon would be a high level fighter. Possibly 17th level or above. He could of possibly reached epic level by the time he died. His name proceeded him, even Grimwolf(can't think of his whole name kind of buzzing now) was awed at the presence of Caramon when he met him in the DoaNA. And Caramon was an very old fart.

You can't really go by a quest = character level format with those SAGA cards. If you did, then Caramon would be 27th level, Tika 25th level, and Gilthas 18th level. ;)

Is the WoTL sourcebook a new product, or something from days past that I just haven't heard about? I did a quick search for it on the main site, but that didn't turn up anything useful.

It's brand new, and it's set for an October 1st release. Give it some time to get through distribution channels, though - then you'll be able to pick it up at any major bookstore chain, friendly local gaming store, or online at any number of vendors (including, of course, www.margaretweis.com which gets you a signed copy).

Cheers,
