I think that you might misunderstand the point of this post. I am wondering if this message board is friendly. The DL game is great, I have played it forever and a day. I just want to be able to share ideas and information with other people that are out there, who love DL ALMOST as much as I do.

It seems as if many people here have attitudes. What's with all the hostility and the negative energy?

Well, its complex, but I have the key.

In 1945, Nazi Germany had only one hope of salvation: The Saltine Cracker! Disguised as a harmless carbohydrate, the Saltine successfully infiltrated American and European food markets. It snuggled into the cupboard of every home, every apartment, every back-woods moonshine shack. Soon, yes soon, the world will tremble at the unveiling of the Saltine's true power...

But the Nazis suffered a terrible setback late in 1945 when they lost the Second World War. Hitler, disguised as Lisa Marie Presley, stowed away on a luxury cruise liner in the south pacific where he and Tojo commenced to formulate plans to reemerge once the Saltine take-over was complete. Fortunately for us, Hitler's disguise led him to eventually marry Elvis Presley where he was accidentally fed into a meat grinder and later consumed by his then-husband, the King of Somethingorother.

Tojo was later seen in Vegas doing one-man renditions of "Hello Dolly!". He died at the age of 89 after choking bacstage on a wry pantyhose.

So you see, thw world is safe and Saltines are not ruling us as Crackers dominating the breadth of human-kind. In the early eighties, some Dragonlance games and novels were written finding tremendous success for then struggling company, TSR. Dragonlance produced a number of fans who later migrated here with the intervention of the Internet (created by Al Gore and CLark Gable). And on these boards, you'll find many Dragonlance fans who may - just may - be eating or have possession of Saltine crackers.

Meaning... well, you know. Be cool.

Taminier, I think your Latin needs a little adjustment. Your profile should read, "Legio mihi nomen est, quia multi sumus."

Which, for anybody wondering, translates to "My name is Legion, for we are many."

I'm not sure why you'd choose to put that in there, but I think I can draw some conclusions.

Cam, that is one way of putting out in Latin, however, if you have studied Latin in the past, you would know that it doenst work quite like English. Subjects are not always in the same place that they would be in an English sentence.

That is the beauty of Latin, you can say the same thing in so many ways.

That quote is taken from Fr. Reginald Foster OCD, who works for the Vatican's Secretary of State and does all of the offical translations from and into Latin.

No, the beauty of Latin is that you don't say the same thing in so many ways. It's the most structured language still in use.

That quote is taken from Fr. Reginald Foster OCD, who works for the Vatican's Secretary of State and does all of the offical translations from and into Latin.

My correction to your quote comes directly from the Latin Vulgate of the New Testament, so I don't know what Fr. Reginald is using, but it's a little off.

Cheers,
Cam

No, the quote about the fluidity of Latin is from Fr. Foster. I am quite aware of the quote taken from the Gospel of St. Mark.

For those who truly understand Latin, and have learned it not just from a book but in practical use, and have had to read and translate documents and sayings, we understand the fluidity of Latin better than the layman. Sorry, CAM, I dont mean to sound rude, but studying with Fr. Foster who has been translating documents for 25+ years and is a student of latin for the past 60, I would be hard pressed to argue against his insights.

If he is that old you gotta figure his mind is probably slipping anyway. So maybe he has no flipping clue what he is talking about anymore.

I am just messing with you I am sure Fr. Foster knows his Latin.

I'll make this real clear. A certain person (and the mess he made) was removed for acting immature, you joined hours afterward asking "if we're nice". Your post rate 39.28 posts per day, and opinions (Cyan Bloodbane Dracolich) make it seem to us that you are him, just back to be a troll.

Maybe your not... I don't know. Personally my ten years on the internet and seeing this time and time again on countless boards makes me think you probably are him under a different name. If you are, its sad, and immature. If your not, than you just have really bad timing.

Either way, I don't care. This will probably be the only time I directly respond to you on any thread.

Besides, watching Sith in action is always good fun. Now, I don't know Randal that well, but I bet he'll be entertaining in his own right.

Perhaps we should go over some of the offenses, shall we?

1. Forum Disruption
2. Spamming
3. Posting in other languages - Sorry, the WizOs don't allow it.
4. Off-topic - I haven't seen where this has anything to do with Dragonlance.

There's this nifty little button at the top right-hand side of each post that looks like a sign with an exclamation mark. That nifty button allows one to report bad posts/threads. I would recommend that if any find this thread to be a disruption, offensive, or what have you, that they use this nice feature of the VBulletin software.

Dude...come on...will you please stop egging them on?

Look, we know that you are Amaron...but so what, who cares? Loggin in under a different screen name ain't a crime (and I'm sure after the spams yesterday, it was your only choice). But, there's no use pretending anymore, all it will do is get under people's skin (things have a tendancy of doing that when people think they're trying to be outsmarted)...so can we just accept that and move on?

Taminier isn't doing anything wrong...it's okay to use a different screen name (especially if the original is taken from you), so we should leave him alone about it, but Taminier, you've got to stop goading people into jumping on you...'cause they're gonna do it.

I just find the thread funny, which is why I keep posting. Its pretty amusing. Also the problem isn't that he came on with a different login, its the fact that the thread started out as trying to deceive.. and saying things like "well you people aren't nice" and such..when everyone obviously knew it was him. Thats where it became annoying to people. Sad thing is now people who didnt like him..don't like him even more now. And what contributions he could give to a discussion goes out the window because most people will put the login on ignore, or ignore the posts on their own. But thats what happens if you don't add much more than a one liner to every discussion. I think were all forgetting the most important thing here...

and that is...

I'm not the most hated person on this board?

Frankly speaking, I'm shocked.

Here I am, using old school dragonlance knowledge in debate against you guys and you took the time out to say "you'e not the most hated"

Well...*sniff* you guys rock. *munches on saltine*

Look, if they tolerate me, they'll tolerate you. Especially after the last time a large scale boards mob tried to unseat me and had to deal with Scrape. And also because I'm continuously coated in royal jelly, but let's not get into specifics on that on, eh?

And put down that Saltine! Don't you know?!? Don't you?!?

*sits in darkened corner with a cigorette* *puff* of course I know, Mulder, I'm to blaim. so what are you going to do? Kill me? I'm not important. Sure I have a little power, but I'm a little fish compared to the great evil council known as They for they say everything...

*snort, spit* They, Mr. Ares? You don't know square one about They, Mr. Ares. And with good reason. Every nibble on a Saltine cracker you take, every move you make, every breath you take - They're over there, watching you. With... you know, binoculars. Or possibly a... more advanced... version.

Sting's watching too, you know. They call him the Queen Mother. Go do the math on that one if you dare.
