Are thieving guilds prevalent across Ansalon ? Would it be wise for SP to do a sourcebook on the various guilds across Ansalon or no ? The reason I am asking is due to the fact that one of my main players happens to be a rogue(with some ranger levels) and I would like to make his DL experience a rich one(He has already announced that if they were to do a book like this he would buy it.).

There is one in Palanthas, which even has a novel "The Thieves Guild"

Sure, this would be interesting. I think it follows along the line of some other book ideas that they've done/had.

Towers of High Sorcery (wizards)
Holy Order of the Stars (clerics, druids, monks?)
Primal Magic of Krynn (mystics, sorcerers, bards?, druids?, rangers?)(title idea)
Knightly Orders (Solamnic, Nerekan, Steel, Devine Hammer, Ergothian Cavaliers, paladins?)
Guilds of Ansalon (rogues, bards, and PC experts...can't remember the name of the new class)
Defenders of the Land (druids, rangers, monks?)

That should cover most of them. They're basically splat books for DL...but they're really more world flavor than new rules (although the books should definately have both)

Guilds of Ansalon ? Is that an older book ? If so, can SP revamp it for v.3.5 DL ?

No, Brimstone was suggesting a series of books. (The class is Master, by the way - a great class, my White Robe has two levels ;) )

I think that doing a book on the rogue class would be a good thing since rogues are a very unique and diverse bunch.

Rogues are great, and like you said can be played very diversely - from the fast-talker conman to an assassin to a tombraiding archaeologist.

But, unless there's a big rogue element on Krynn that's really different from other D&D settings, I'd personally prefer (just personal preference, mind you) that SP concentrate on uniquely Krynnish things, like the Towers of High Sorcery, and the knightly orders, and such. There have been lots of excellent d20 supplements released about rogues, at least enough to keep my happy. I'm not sure a Krynnish one would be different enough to really justify the effort.

A Guild sourcebook might, though. I have AEG's Guilds book, and while it's pretty good, it feels really Realm-y.

That is what I am really talking about; I want a guild sourcebook of some kind. Flesh out those guilds and the members and such.

Yeah...sorry about that...it was just a title suggestion.

Now, I too believe there are more important things to write about at the moment (the Atlas or Gazetter, the Races book, etc.). But, at some point, they're gonna run out of big important stuff...and I think a book on the guilds of Ansalon for rogues, bards, and masters (thanks Clark) and any other that may fall under this category.

A book on Ansalonian nobility might be cool at some point, too.

Just throwing some ideas around...but these definately fall under the same category as the ToHS and HOotS books, I think.

One of the books that really got me interested in Ansalonian nobility was the trilogy about a character named Tol; I forgot what it was called. The girl he fell in love with(That would meet him by the spring or whatever it was.) was such a well thought out character IMO.

Tol was in the Ergoth Trilogy.

Yep that was it; I have yet to read the next one with the wizard on the cover. I cannot find the book anywhere so I started reading the The Dhamon Saga.
