Hi guys !

I need some info on Krynnspace, so sorry for the crosspost.

1. Is the sun of Krynnspace different from the fiery Sirrion? If so, Krynn has got 2 suns/fiery bodies in its sky? How would that affect the day-night cycle on Krynn?

2. How does the sky look like during the daytime from Krynn, considering Sirrion is a red sun (or a fiery red celestial body, IIRC)? Same haze as ours or with a dark (or bright) shade of scarlet?

Thanks for the replies ;)

Yeah...well...Krynnspace is basically a seperate universe from Krynn. Absolutely no continuity was considered between Spelljammer and Dragonlance when Krynnspace was written. So, if you're looking for Krynnspace information, Dragonlance folks probably won't be all that helpful because Krynn and its moon and stars and planets of Dragonlance are the same in name only to the ones in Krynnspace (and not even all those are correct).

So...I guess to answer your question, no the Sun is not red...it's a bright yellow (speaking pre-2nd Cataclysm here). In Dragonlance, Sirrion is just a red planet (which come to think of it...I thought that's all it was in Krynnspace too?). The visible planets of Dragonlance are Sirrion (red), Reorx (red), Shinnare (yellow?), Zivilyn (green), Chislev (green/blue?), and Krynn. I'm not sure what order they are in...but since they are usually visible late at night, I'd say they are all further out than Krynn. I'm pretty sure the tilt of Krynn's orbit doesn't exist in Dragonlance either. Also, the moons aren't equidistant from each other as they revolve around Krynn...they all have their own orbits that take different amounts of time to complete (Solinari 36, Lunitari 28, and Nuitari 8).

In a nutshell, that's the "known" solar system of Dragonlance (quite a bit different from Krynnspace). So, I'm not sure how much help we (well, I, anyway) can be if you're wanting to keep Krynnspace continuity. Sorry.

The neutral gods of Sirrion, Shinare, Zivilyn, Chislev and Reorx are represented in the heavens by "wandering stars", which may or may not be planets, which in turn may or may not have any relationship to what you read in Krynnspace.

Given that nobody's going to actually go out into the stars in a typical Krynnish campaign, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to say that the stars are painted on the backdrop of the Dome of Creation and the wandering stars of the neutral pantheon drift across the same backdrop in their own fashion.

Cheers,
Cam
