I wanted to convert T1-T4 (Temple of Elemental Evil), A1-A4 (Scourge of the Slave Lords), G1-G3 (Against the Giants), D1-D3 (Descent into the Depths) and Q1 (Queen of the Spiders) into one GIANT supermodule going from level 1 to maybe level 45 or so. I know it sounds crazy but I am seriously considering it, playing the modules in Greyhawk and seeing if the PC's can survive. Now of course, I know I couldn't keep alot of the encounters as is and would have to tone down alot of them, but I think it would be a very fun game. I know that T1-T4 and A1-A4 are not tied to the rest but I would like to include them anyway. What do you you all think? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : branmakmuffin Date : 10-19-07 01:18 PM Thread Title : Re: Converting Some old Modules into a Super Campaign Hi everyone, So, I've this idea for a while and wanted to get everyone's opinion on it. If you carry it off, your players should buy dinner at your favorite restaurant. The only wrinkle I see is if the players are ol' timers, they'll already have a certain level of familiarity with the mods. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Gryllmyre Date : 10-19-07 08:11 PM Thread Title : Re: Converting Some old Modules into a Super Campaign Actually, when I used to play 1e and 2e, I would start players off with T1-4, but only as far as the temple - I wouldn't bother with the nodes, since the encounter recommendations for them are so inconsistent. That would get them to 8th level, usually. Then I would take them through Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth to boost them a little (introducing them to the idea of the Circle of Eight via representatives). After that, it was Against the Giants (the Circle of Eight would directly send them on this one). All that would usually get the PC's to around 11th or so. After that, proceeding all the way through Q1 was optional (the Circle of Eight were the nobles communicating with the PC's just before Q1). That would probably get them to around 13th or so, I think. Otherwise I wanted to toss Vecna Lives at them and see how they like it (where the Circle of Eight plays a significant part, for a little while, anyway - hee). Are you talking about converting them to 3.x? Because I don't see how this would get them to level 45 (gah). Even with the Slave lord dungeons included, they would only gain a few more levels, if that. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Warhead Date : 10-20-07 06:23 AM Thread Title : Re: Converting Some old Modules into a Super Campaign I always thought The Slave Lords were supposed to be played before Against the Giants, or was that just a bit of ret-conning? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:22 AM.
