Dear members of the Fraternity,

Our Dread Infernal moderator just added the tenth issue of Quoth the Raven. Find it in the library part of the FoS site (www.FraternityOfShadows.com)

There are many updates to our Manor:

A Cermak’s authors notes (very detailed, a must read for fans) have joined other great Ravenloft writer’s notes – in the Salon room

RL suggested miniature update – in the Wine Cellar room

Domain of the week (For adventure hooks; 7 domains covered already! ) – in the Salon room

Many new reviews (especially of 2nd ed RL) – in the Drawing Room room

A gallery of dreadful art! – in the newly opened Gallery

Evil DM tricks area – in the Salon room

A renovated RL FAQ – in the Study room

A ‘Van Richten guide to Lovecraft’ essay (want to use Lovecraft in RL?) – in the Salon room

And all the latest news for the setting !

---

Only 24 days to Halloween !

Regards,

Joël

Ok, four days later, no answer.

That is what I thought...

Just to make something clear, LoI:

I'm one one of the main contributor to the FoS web site, and very proud of what we achieved. While I do not remember seeing anything from you in the last year to enrich the Ravenloft online community, meanwhile we were busy building the FoS site.

See, one year ago, the FoS site didn't exist. Nothing. It wasn't even a thought.

So I challenge you or anyone: look at it today under any lense and you'll see why we are proud of our work. We now run by far the most complete Ravenloft fan site on the net, save the great one that closed on Halloween 2003.

However, being on business less then a year is very short, and that is why I post FoS news every one or two months, to make sure new fans of the setting know about us.

I won't stop as I see absolutely no reason to be ashamed of it.

Long live the FoS!

Indeed, the FoS site has only appeared in the last year, doing so at the beginning of last December. Since then it has released multiple netbooks and E-zines dedicated to Ravenloft and Masque of the Red Death and also put up a number of other useful bits and pieces for people to use.

I do visit other Ravenloft (as wel as other gaming) sites on the net and I have not seen another grow, delevop and bring out material that begins to compete with the site.

My opinion may seem a little bias, as I am also one of those who run the site, but we do work hard to meet our goals and the outcome shows what much effort goes into it.
