Where do you think those who pass through the Gate of Souls go? To some weird plane incomprehensibel to those who are not dead? Or do they just venture out amongst the universe?

Sounds like an adventure hook waiting to happen.

Maybe the souls move to a whole other universe and are reborn into bodies beyond our imagining.

Maybe the souls move outside of Krynn's planar bubble and are reborn as mortals in some other cosmology.

Maybe the souls ... go nowhere and Chemosh was right all along, and the here and now on Krynn is all that matters.

No real clue really. It is just comment that they head to another world. Chances are they might go to another world to adventure in or something like that. Hopefully, they'll avoid the planet with the extremely large and glutton dragons ruling over it.

This is one of those "shining castles on the hill". It is purposefully vague, so that people can interpret it however they wish.

Perhaps they move on to another world, go to an afterlife with the gods, are reincarnated, or any combination of the above. Anything is possible.

It's fairly well-established--passages in War of the Twins, the basic premise of Lord Toede, the opening of Knight of the Black Rose--that the souls of the wicked descend to the Abyss. The fate of the good and neutral souls is ambiguous--in at least some cases, deliberately so.
