Oct 09, 2004 14:33:14 Sweet pics. I'm a fan of Kreen with abdomens as well. I don't think it was till 2E that they started depicting them in that way. One of their first depictions was in 1e's Monster Manual II which had them without abdomens oddly enough.

Oct 10, 2004 8:52:59 You know the moment I typed that the Kreen in the old 1e MM II didn't have an abdomen I went to confirm it. What I found was that I was wrong. The pic of the kreen is just a bust shot.

Hmmm....I know I saw a pic of one without an abdomen at some point that pre dates DS. I'll have to dig thru my stuff. The hunt is on!

Oct 10, 2004 9:32:28 The abdomens added to the alien feel of the Thri-Kreen, which i personally like about them. They look to "generic" without it, just like all of the other half-human, half-animal or insect races.

Actually, there's a picture of a TK where the Abdomen is hidden. Their abdomens usually jut out the back end, so it is giving the impression that there isn't one there.

Well, at least those images look less like characters from Bug's Life.

Not bad really, I still like the ones with an abdomen though.
