Hey everybody!

The Midway Haven Alchemical Observatory (parodizing Ravenloft for 3 years) continues giving out fan-made material for Ravenloft campaigns. Take a look at what we have and what's in the works:

1- 100 Ravenloft Feats
-anytime before the end of the year we would be releasing a netbook listing 100 Ravenloft feats. Previews of this netbook are now ongoing at the Fraternity of Shadows website: http://www.fraternityofshadows.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=1375

2- Midway Haven monthly splash
-For two weeks every month, Midway Haven shifts its splash page to do what we do best: parodize the Realm of Dread. This month we parodize Paris Hilton. Watch out for next month, when we show you The Black Rose's Darklordster Profile.

3- Relics of the Gothic Earth
-The Sword of Cortes, Torquemada's Journals, Nuestra Seniora de Manila... these are but a few of the thirteen cursed relics detailed in the upcoming netbook of Gothic Earth's vile artifacts, good for play in the Masque fo the Red Death campaign world!

There it is, or something like that

It's nice to see updates! Though I have to admit that the last time I stopped by I was disappointed to see that my favorite "news story" had dropped off the main page. Do you keep them archived somewhere on the page, and I just can't find them? Or could there be a possibility of that being one of the upcoming updates? Hmmm?

If you don't mind me asking, what was your favourite news story? Over the years I have submitted a number of them to the site (The Vallaki Shadow, Crisis in Hunadora and others) and it would be interesting to know which was your favourite in all this time

It was the joke news article about the cleric of the Lawgiver wishing the Halans a happy holiday. I rolled on the floor for about five minutes.

Here's the news report! Yep, the stories are stored in the Midway Haven database

Iron Lord Cleric Wishes "Happy Equinox" to "Tree Worshippers"

HARMONIA, Kartakass--While visiting some Kartakan communes in a so-called "ecumenical outreach program" last week, high cleric Josef Kydale of the Lawgiver's Church in Kantora offered Spring Equinox holiday wishes to local Halans. "Blessed be and all that to all those who read from top to bottom," he started, but he added, "Wearing a beanie over your heads won't get you into Glory. You Halans are falling into the same trap as them crazy Ezra worshippers, thinking the powers judge us based on the heights of our hats. The Ezrans make their anchorites wear a hood, their Bastions wear a taller hood, and their Praesidius wears a hat that looks like an oversized bucket. I bet you folks think that your goddess is sitting up there in Heaven wearing a big sombrero!" While many Halans protested Kydale's visit, he tried to reassure them that he was not anti-Halan. "We worshippers of the Iron Lord love Halans! In fact, we only hire Halan housekeepers. We also hire Wolf God sentries to watch over them. We have to make sure we don't get bewitched."

Before ending his travels, Kydale told a crowd of Halan witches in a street corner, "If you didn't make such terrible hags, I won't be standing here today, telling you that you made such terrible hags. All things work for the greater good, and we're all part of the Lawgiver's plan. Some of us, like you folks standing around me, will honor Bane by going to Hell after you die."

Upon leaving Kartakass, Kydale also met up with some Halan protestors at the border. He commented, "I can't convert to Halaism. You gotta be born Halan. You can convert to Bane, however. I won't say it's gonna do you any good, though. Your fate is sealed by your bloodline. I prefer that you folks concentrate on the here and now. Keep making those loony potions, keep being dendrophiliacs, and keep cleaning my house. Praise the Lawgiver and Happy Eeequeenawks to all you tree-hugging folks."

As for the beverages, I'm also working on it.
