What are the stats for the Animuses?

Oct 25, 2004 19:14:46 I keep reading about and hearing about these Animuses, undead from the former Great Kingdom.. ...But I've yet to see any monster manual-style write-up for them, or even a short description of what they're like or what they can do, and I can't find any online..

Can anyone enlighten me please? What ARE the Animuses?

Oct 25, 2004 21:15:55 You too.It drove me nuts also. I found it in the From the Ashes boxed set on a single sheet of loose paper in the set, hole punched for a binder. This wizards site also describes them under the Ivid the Undying's massive write up!

They are slain characters,clerics or fighters etc. reanimated as a unique undead creature.Clerics of Hextor using a form of resurrection, a Pit fiends wish and a strange coffin artifact of the infernal powers come together to raise the person as an animus.The animus is physically strong "18/76 strength"
18 constitution.(Yes I know undead have no con.score in 3.5)and have special powers of fear and command. they are also mental basket cases. I will attempt to scan the page and paste it for you since it would take me forever to type it up if you want? ;)

Oct 25, 2004 22:57:42 A write up and template can also be found in Living Greyhawk Journal #2 if I remember correctly. I checked to see if they were still available on the Paizo website and this issue is not in stock right now but I will give the website anyway.

Correct. The Animus, version 3.0E, is in the LG Journal issue #2. Updating it to 3.5E isn't that hard (especially now, with Libris Mortis available ;) )
