I am looking for information about the miner's fair during the month of good month. I have found the dates in several documents but nothing that describes the fair(s) and where, who celebrates this holiday. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I just should have asked where I can find detailed information on all greyhawk holidays. Just wondering because I want a festival backdrop for an encounter in my campaign and the next one in my calendar is the Miner's Fair during Goodmonth 25 to 28. Please help, All I find are the dates but no info pertaining to standard celebrations during this festival/fair.

I believe there`s some info in the City of Greyhawk Box possibly in the The Adventure Begins or the Players Guide to Greyhawk too.

On the web try canonfire and searching the greytalk archives.
I`m sure there have been some articles on the holidays.

Here`s one:

Amongst the holidays in this article is the Oeridian St. Cuthbert's Day

I've only found this reference:

"25 - 28 - Miner's Fairs. This festival is dedicated to the god Blerred (Smithing/Mining). Miners and smiths show off their finest work. In the Dwarven lands this festival is also held but in a more reverent manner."

Great link joe.

Then you can probably find some more info or inspiration in the descriptions of the clergy of Blerred. (or other minig gods)

Talmeta`s site comes to mind.(Great flavor) Try the Dwur pantheon:

Very interesting resources folks. Thanks for sharing! Wearth is especially interesting: it appears to incorporate significant amounts of Greyhawk but also reportedly uses aspects of FR and City State of the Invincible Overlord.

Scoti, in what source did you first read about "miner's fair during the month of good month" ?

Can't remember where I got it but on a greyhawk calendar I have it is listed as those dates and then searching the web I confirmed those dates but couldn't find any details. My calendar only lists the name of the holiday and most webpages only give the date and name as well. The above internet sources have helped tremendously in figuring out what the miner's fair is all about but unfortunately it seems the fair is not the kind of festival I need. Maybe I can get my players to stick around in Greyhawk until Brewfest but that is almost 8 weeks and they hardly ever sit in one spot for very long.
