#1 wolffenjugend_dup Nov 25, 2004 10:33:06	Are there any examples of NPCs in any of the DL products who have improved masterwork items, as per the Master class? I haven't noticed any, so I was wondering if there are or not. I have lingering questions in terms of game balance regarding masterwork weapons that can go beyond +1, especially considering the low cost. Perhaps a web enhancement ( ;) ) with sample Masters from throughout Krynn's ages? The most famous are legendary, but what about some others to introduce along with a new masterwork weapon the party finds?

#3 clarkvalentine Nov 25, 2004 22:24:27	It's worth noting that part of the balance of improved masterwork vs. +2 or +3 magic enhancement is that a) it doesn't add to damage, and b) it doesn't penetrate damage resistance (magic). So they might not be as pricey as equivalently bonused magic weapons, but they are still significantly weaker.
