I was checking out this map and I saw the Suel Temple Ruins in the Gnarley Forest. does anyone know anything about this? I'd like to know a bit more about the story behind this as I might be able to use it for something relating to a PC in my campaign. It seems to be significant as this temple is more prominently marked than the ToEE.

they (along with the Nerull temple ruins in the iron wood) look like campaign specific additions to me... for more information on them you might try emailing the contact person for that website.

Hey, all.

The map you linked is from Living Greyhawk's Verbobonc region. My understanding is that the noted Suel Temple ruins are derived from a regional adventure, and they are not associated with anything outside of recent Triad plot lines of the Verbobonc region.

Here is the Verbobonc region's Web site: http://www.verbobonc.net/main/index.php

Go to Contacts and e-mail Terry Doner or Ron Lundeen. There both really cool guys and can share details with you.

Coincidentally, I just now emailed them. I knew the source of the map, I was just wondering if anyone knew already. Thanks to you all for the help.

Though there are some suel temple ruins nearby, along the jewel river, as noted in one of the Gord books.

Aren't those in the Suss forest? I am not sure I would realy term that nearby... they would be about 250 miles to the south-south-east of the map in question.

Yes, the legendary ruins of a Suel city near the Jewel River are in the Suss Forest.

The LG Verbonbonc map is beautiful. To me, however, it's "too bad" that the triad didn't contact Jeff McKillop, who published a well detailed version of the Visconty of Verbobonc and the Kron Hills in issues of the Oerth Journal. I used quotes around "too bad" because now that LG Verbobonc has a version, fans of GH have even more material with which to create their own campaigns.
