I tried the search engine for this one, but I couldn't find anything on the subject.

Is there anything out in 2e about the City of a Thousand Dead? I doubt it, of course, but I'm curious about it and I was wondering if there was any information out other then TotDL about the Dead Lands.

Thanks a mil.

There's Secrets of the Deadlands that we are converting from 2e to 3e, though I think that took a backburner since we are trying to push DA out, plus SotDL is a bit more epic than DA as well.

Wait a minute... where is Secret of the Dead Lands 2e found? Is that old material produced by you guys or is it an official product?

SotDL is an unreleased 2E product that is going to be converted to 3.5E by the good people at athas.org. Unfortunately, due to copyright laws, it will most likely prove impossible for you to find a copy to read before they finish the conversion. It'll be awhile, because from what I understand, they're focusing all of their resources on Dregoth Ascending at this time.

That's the same thing.

The question you want answered is weither it was written by TSR staff writers or by athas.org writers. Its the first.

The only information in 2e came in the Wanderer's Chronicle (page 114), from the Revised Boxed Set - but you probably already have that . Nothing else released on it yet...

Not to be confused with Gerald Arthur Lewis' Deadlands project, which is fanbased.

Yeah, that's what I meant!

Thanks for clearing that up Penn.

It has to be stated (again) that the stuff from athas.org is just as official, though.
But obviously some people seem to have a problem with it, considering how often the "Is it official? I mean, by TSR??? (even though they messed up lots of products)"-question pops up. Perhaps athas.org should consider releasing flawed modules which contradict each other, all under the name of Tark Sun Releases.

Look guys, sorry if I offended anybody in my not-too-knowledgeable way of expressing myself! I understand now, so you can just quit re-explaining it.

ATHAS.ORG IS OFFICIAL! ATHAS.ORG IS OFFICIAL!

I get it, now!
I just thought athas.org was purer material since it was made by people who cared for DS... and for free...
By official, I just meant it had come out on a shelf and could be bought at a hobby store...

Now, can we move on please...

Ok, now that I have blown off some steam...

The CoaTD is now ruled by Zhen clerics of various elements and have rebuilt the city. What do you think the city looks like now after those many years.

I mean, have they tried to bring the ecosystem back? It wouldn't be so far fetched to imagine high level clerics opening elemental portals to bring forth earth and water. A few could be sent to the lands north and south(?) to bring back seeds and animals, or are they just hate-filled and depressed about their undead states?

Thoughts anyone?
