Hi everybody!

I normaly play in FR, but I'm going to host a single adventure for my friend who plays a 25 lvl. rogue. Now, I was thinking to put her (the rogue) in a very unfamiliar setting, and therefor I thought about Athas/Dark Sun. But my problem is, that I don't know much about the setting and geography. So what I need from you guys is some basic and useful info on the campaign. I'm not going to use psionics in the adventure, so you don't have to mention that part. But any information you could give would be very useful!

Thanx!

I would suggest downloading the Dark Sun Campaign Setting or Revised Dark Sun Campaign Setting from svgames.com for a few dollars. The former has a nice introduction adventure you can skim to get ideas, and the Wanderer's book that comes with it is packed with campaign information.

Then I would read the Athasian Game Master articleon athas.org, the official DS website.

Hi Jon

Thanks for the reply. I followed your advice and did a download via svgames.com, but my file won't open, even though i did as instructed - seems that acrobat reader thinks the file is damaged! Any ideas on what I should do?

When downloading from SVGAMES, you need to download the file you pay for, which is like a key, plus the supplementary files, then use the utility they specify to rejoin the pieces.Look in their support section for details.

Hi Terminus

I did that, and merged the file with the additional download and all - now I'm re-downloading Acrobat Reader to see if that helps.

Any ideas?

Perhaps you need to turn the digital rights management on, fellow Pokémon?

A new version of Reader may do it. If not, check to make sure you got all the pieces. That one tripped me up when downloading some Planescape stuff. If all else fails, just go over the directions again, and see if you made any errors.

Ahem...well...Elonarc, what was that thing about rights? Where do I turn those on?

Read the article while you wait for more responses with suggestions on fixing the file. ;)

Hmm, still no progress. Since it's not certain I can get my campaign setting up and running, I'd appreciate any answers to my initial post you guys could give.

Are you sure the download was completed?
