Hello, I am currently running a 6th age dragonlance game (You may say "There is no 6th age", but I myself considered the War Of Souls as the end of the age of mortals, and thus a new age called "The Age of Rebirth" has dawned). Currently the game is based about 3 years after the war of souls, in the summer of 423 AC. Anyway I've thought of ways to improve the setting, as well as put in some potential villans into my game, which may shake the fabric of all of Krynn in this new age.

First of all, I made Solamnia more powerful than it was in the book. Their armieshave retaken Palanthas and the western costal cities from the Dark Knights control. I didn't feel it right for the Dark Knights to be controlling Traditional Solmanic territory at this time, expecally when their power is not close to what is was. The Dark Knights still have a strong presence in areas east of the Vingard mountians, and their traditional regions are still under control. Currently there is an uneasy armistice between the Dark Knights and Solmnia, but the borders between the controlled territories are being fortifided for a possible conflict in the future.

Now as for the Villans, I intend to throw a few of them into the mix. The first of these is a reborn cult of Morgion in Nightlud, who have begun by unleashing a a disease called "The Red Plague", a horrible illness that can kill people within hours, as their body breaks out in red scabs, and their organs liquify from the inside. So far in the game, one town has been overun by the plague, and it may well spead unless a way is found to stop it.

As for Mina, I haven't read that book about her current status as a Cleric of Chemosh. I myself an intending her to make her a special form of "Vampire", one who dosen't have all the common banes of vampire existance. After all Chemosh is a God, he can perhaps create a new strain of vampirism that dosen't have as many weaknesses. This strain allows Mina (and her spawn) to go out in daylight, and not need to rest in coffins (Although their powers are diminished during the day, and they still need to drink blood). Mina now is intending to unite followers and create an army to conquer all of Krynn in the name of her new God. This of course won't happen immedately but still puts another kink in the world.

Another subplot, is the Silvanesti Elves. A young elvish Cleric of Kiri-Jolith, named Elderan Stardale, a survivor of the invasion of the minitaours, is stiring up trouble among the elves. Lacking the paitence to wait years for the elves to take action, disgusted that the Minotaurs control their anchent homeland, he is attempting to unite the elves to go to war aginst the Minotaurs, not only to purge their taint from their anchent city, but to take the fight to their home islands. He believes himself to be a chosen of his God, and that it is the will of Kiri-Jolith to take back the lands which are rightfully theirs, and make the minotaurs regret every crossing the elven people. The older elves of course are not so "War mongering", and his is an outcaste among the new cleric orders of the elves, (But still has divine spells cause he's utterly faithful to his God.), but a number of idealistic young elves are already flocking to his banner, no longer wishing to remain as outcastes. He even welcomes the Qualensti a place by his side, and a reunion of the races, something which some Qualensti accept, but others among the Silvaniesti and the Qualenesti find an abomination, as memmories of the Kinslayer Wars still burn strong in the hearts of the elven people.

Then there is another evil known as "The Red Knight of Chaos". A follower of Chaos, who gained sentience when his creator was imprisoned once again in the greygem. He seeks to unite the followers of Chaos (And find those willing to join them), and seek a way to find where the Graygem was hidden, so that the Chaos can be returned. The cult of Chaos creed is "All Was Born From Chaos, And From Chaos It Returns". Since their God is gone, their ranks are made up of Sorcerers and Chaos Mystics (Mystics who Draw power often from the "Chaos" domain), as well as a number of Chaos warriors, and other chaos abominations. Through certain magics the Red Knight can create more minions, swelling his ranks even further. Hope that sounds like a good idea.

So what do you think of my ideas for the 6th age?

All sounds like it will be a lot of fun for you and your players!

I don't know that 38 years is long enough for anything to qualify as an age, so you will hopefully forgive us if we don't actually buy your explanation for calling this the 6th age. I consider the Age of Mortals to be more fully realized now that the gods are back and mortals are making more of the decisions about their fates. But this is all nitpicking.

Cheers,
Cam

In The Legend of Huma, there was a disease called "The Scarlet Plague" which sounds somewhat similar to what you have already.

You should definitely check out Amber and Ashes. Mina has new followers called the Beloved of Chemosh who may be what you're looking for.

All in all, it sounds like you have some good ideas. The elven cleric of Kiri-Jolith sounds especially neat, as he can be one of those guys that can be an ally, yet the players may eventually have to stop him.

Good luck with the game!

Well I peaked at Ambers and Ashes, but I'm really not willing to drop the bucks into buying the book, cause it dosen't give the stats for Mina, or these so called "Beloved of Chemosh". Could someone here perhaps give me the stats of Mina from the Age of Mortals book. I didn't buy the book because I thought it only covered the Age of Mortals before the war of souls (Thus was useless to me as I disliked the 5th age generally). My guess is she is a 20th level Cleric of Chemosh, with 5 levels of Rightous Zelot, and 5 levels of Legendary Tactician. Of course her stats would improve more likey cause she is Undead (as far as I know), likey adding bonuses for her template (and giving her a CON of 0 as an undead creature). Any help you can give me would be useful.

That's 'cause it's a novel, not a sourcebook. ;)

Still dosen't answer my question. I really would like Mina's stats, so I can at least build her from scratch and know how to create a profile for her.

As for the history of Elderan Stardale. He is a Silvanesti Elf, 82 years old. His heritage is rather "Commoner" among the elves, his father merely a commander in the elven forces. He was but a toddler (in elven years) when the war of the Lance broke out, so remembers little of the devastation to the homeland. He does return after the war, with his family to help rebuild and repopulate the homeland, and after hearing tales of its former beauty, he sought to make it a reality once again. This paid off when in the year 382, the forest was cleansed of the taint of the Nightmare, and restored to its former beauty. When the War of Chaos broke out he was in his teens, and did what he could to help his people during the dark times of this age. The Age of Mortals he didn't lose faith in the Gods, despite their second dissapearance. He lived within the barrier, and when comming of age he joined the military, just as his father did, determined to protect his homeland from the forces in the world that threatned it.

When the armies of Alhana Starbreeze march on Sanction, he is one of the Defenders left at the city. The Minotaurs launch their surprise attack, overwheling the defending forces. Elderan held his ground aginst the minotaurs, but took a grevious wound from an axe blow from one of their warriors. He was rescued his friend, Rivan, who pulled him on his sholder, and took him from the city, as what was left of the elves withdrew from the city. Healed by a mystic, and cast from his homeland, he joined the rest of the elves in exile.

The loss of Silvanesti was a major blow on the young warrior. The Silvanesti had lived in their homeland since the beginning of their race, it has faced destruction from Loric's Nightmare and from the Dragon Overlord, but now a mongrel race of evil now controlled their lands, and the proud elven people were now outcaste wanderers with no home. He found kinship among the Qualinesti during the exile, who also were cast out without a home to return. The politics frustrated him greatly, as the elven leaders were doing nothing to restore their lands. He had enough of their politics. He quit his post, and took on the world on his own, seeking his own quest of enlightenment, praying to the returned Gods for answered. Pushing himself into exaustion during one day of travel, he fell to the ground, his eyes facing the stars. He fell into a dream, where an knight appeared in front of him, riding a noble white steed, bearing the Banner of Kiri-Jolith. He said to him "Arise Eldaran, Son of Stardale. For I am Kiri-Jolith, God of Justice. Know that you are destaned for greatness in this world. Follow the path your heart has guided you. By this symbol you will conquer." He awakened bearing a mark on his hand of the horn, and a medallion of faith, a God has answered his prayer.

So over the past year, Elderan has been traveling throughout the lands, seeking elven refugees and allies, preaching the will of his God. He speaks of a liberation of Silvanesti, a union of the races into one soul, and a lesson be taught to the Miniotaurs for their sacralidge on the elven people. A number of followers have come under him, believing his words,

Elderan Stardale Stats:

Switch out her cleric levels of Big T for levels of cleric of Chomesh from DLCS and you'd Have Mina's stats.

Elderan has aliented himself among the nobility of the Elves, however. He finds the Nobles are too set in their ways to be motivated. The politics of the courts are doing nothing towards the liberation of Silvanesti. He has inspired both Qualenesti and Silvanesti, trying to bring unity despite the memmory of the kinslayer wars driving a wedge through the races. He knows well that, despite the past, the elven people are related, and an alliance would work well in bolstering the ranks aginst the Minotaur hordes. Despite Alhana's abandonment of the city during the war of souls, he supports her return to power, as their people need a ruler. He however does not support the Nobles, whose Politics are what keeps the people divided. Currently he travels, with a few loyal elves as his retinue, while making those following his word prepare themselves at their respective places of residence. In time he hopes to build an army of elves the world has never seen (Along with other allies he can get on his side), and march on Silvanesti and oust the Minitaurs. He thinks about taking the fight to their islands as well to elimiate the threat of them rebuilding their forces for another attack, but for now his main goal is the liberation of Silvanesti.

I thought that giving away official stats, from a gaming book(such as Mina's stats from the Age of Mortals accessory), was against the CoC here ?

It is. And handing out her stats only to have somebody create from scratch doesn't make any sense, either.

That's against the rules? I guess they want people to buy the suppliments and that is the reasoning behind that? Hmmm. Not like it is hard to take a pen and paper to the bookstore and copy them down without buying.
