Whats with Chris Coyle not doing SoS as is apperant i have been gone for quite awhile so some updates will be great! If anyone lives near a town called Sherman, Texas and likes D&D and espcially DL let me know i am thinking of starting a Wed night games, prob set in WoL era. thanks its good to be home miss all my friends here!

As far as I know they are doing great. I am surprised that they havn't been posting especially TRRW. How are things out in Cali? I am praying i am going to make it to GEN CON this year if i don't I am going to be really ticked. Hope everyone else is doing good on here, i am proud to report i have been here a month and don't have a hint of a Southern accent. DragonTooth its too bad to hear your in a game an hour isn't too bad. But hey if you decide you want a change let me know. I started work on my adventure lastnight and it looks great i think, but i only have a little bit done, check out my new thread see if you can help, thanks!

I'm still around, just kinda lurking. I noticed that I tended to start a lot of flamewars, and figured I'd just lay low.

I'm still here, and I pipe up with stuff from time to time. Like this one.

Also, I'd just like to say that if anyone on this board is still on the "Eberron is teh sux!!!1one!" kick... I invite you to actually read the book. Keith Baker actually did a good thing with it. It'll never replace Dragonlance, Ravenloft, or Mystra in my heart, but it's a great setting.

Eberron product continues to set the bar that I hope to meet when writing, so I should hope nobody thinks it sucks. In a market with such outstanding work as Eberron, Iron Kingdoms and the upcoming Game of Thrones RPG to inspire, it's difficult to see how you'd ever settle for "just enough" as a writer.

Cheers,

Except for the halflings on dinosaures thing, I like Eberron. I think most people who are critical of Eberron are fan boys who don't want anything other than their favorite setting to get any attention, no matter the quality and creativity behind it.
Next to Dragonlance, Ebberon is becoming one my favorite settings.

Ok, I felt I needed to jump in here. I am very skeptical of Eberron, but not because of the Pulp action and new age style that it brings about. Its new, thats my main reason. I am a dinosaur, and a Dragonlance fan for the last 15 years. I play all my campaigns on my Homebrew or on Krynn and nothing else, and here is this new setting. I ignored the books, hopeing that they would go away, but my friend is insisting on running a game on that world. He gave me the book for my birthday, and so far that I have read, it is a wonderful book filled with rich history and intrege. I am very excited about playing in the campaign now. Of course, there are things that make me worry becuase they are shockingly close to my Homebrew (built back in 96, complete with Dinosaur riding Halflings and high technology feel). I hope this system works out, because it seems to be a great new addition. As for Dragonlance books, well, they have greatly improved since the initial book (DLCS) where quite a few things were messed up or missed. ToHS and WoTL are exsquisit books, and I can't wait for the rest of the KoD modules as well.
