I've been trying to find some flavorful content covering Ralishaz and his followers. I have a player who is a Cleric of Ralishaz and who will be taking Complete Arcane's Fatespinner PrC, which we have converted to a divine PrC.

Does anyone have any resources on this aside from the typical LGG reference? (And they say Greyhawk is supported as the core setting... Pfft!)

I don't think there is a lot of concrete info on Ralishaz, one of the coolest bits I have read was from the old Greyhawk city box set, and also the update of this in tAB (At least I hope those are the correct references) basically it talked about the head of the temple of Ralishaz and how he died in a freak accident the exact same day that a new cleric of Ralishaz wandered into Greyhawk...who just happened to take up being the new high priest of the temple because of the "accident". Freaky coincedence and amazingly good and bad luck seem to be the main staples of the clergy. I am not sure but the Greyhawk hardback might have more info on the clergy, I forget which gods it covers.

Here are all the references that I've found. Probably just a lot of mentions in passing, but hopefully something helpful.

Whenever I go into a casino I say a little prayer to Ralizhaz as I walk through the doors. Not sure why I don't pray to Fortubo, but I figure I want to confine my weird praying to d and d gods to a minimum.

I think in a world where there are so many gods and no religion is dominant and most are scatered without a 'central' driving force (like the roman catholics) there must be thousands of small sects with different views of each God.

In my campaign I use the Ralishaz clerics with a slightly different view... they are always treated with respect by everyone and every comon man goes to him to place a copper coin on his hand on the end of his cults. If the cleric 'senses' something different about this guy (the new granted power I created for a new domain) he makes a small divination and see his near future luck. If it is something the person can change, he blesses the suplicant and the person knows he must be careful. If the priest 'feels' the suplicant can't do a thing to change his fate he returns the coin and the person knows he must make preparations for a bad event in the near future. Those are some new spells i created for the domain...

This is a different view of the God of bad luck, but works fine, I had to create a new domain, of course, but i play this religion with an important role on my campaign and it was worth the change!

I also introduced an 'heretic' view of the religion, where Ralishaz and Fortubo are the true chaos Gods, the only ones really free from Istus powers and plans. There is a tension between those religions, for the two 'luck' Gods are the ones that can change what is written and undo fate and prophecies.

Of course those are not official changes and additions, but so what? it is a personal campaign and a little 'costumization' can make things even more interesting. If you say it is a small sect in a small area it is not so 'damaging' to cannon material...

I hope those ideas help you. Of course, you can do the same and introduce new 'sects' and small 'local doutrines' of this religion.
