What if the party gets sidetracked when delivering the Staff of Bones? A member of the party died and they may not take to the ladies right away. Should they come after them? Also, does it matter who in the party delivers it or just that it is delivered, meaning if person X made the promise can person Y bring it back?

Depends if you play the Oracles as sticklers for detail or not. I think all they cared about was that the PC's Got the Staff of Bones from the Ogre Mage. I don't think they put a time limit on when they got it (at least not by the module).

If you want to have the Oracles come after them for story sake or to add a side plot, I'd say go for it. It would be kind of cool to have agents of the Oracles popping up now and again during SoS trying to aquire the Staff.

Depending on what happens at the start of the next session we should have some intersting times ahead with possible party splits, betrayals, and the like. Of course the fact that the KOS is openly carrying Huma's lance just adds to fun.

A fun encounter I threw in at the end of KOD last week was instead of the lance being in the next room the party had to cross a 10ft wide bridge with a bunch of 5 ft holes in it while a certain young, red dragon flew around and tried to knock them into a river of lava 20ft. below. We lost one, almost 2 characters. Good times.

Sounds good. I put a mirror in the hallway leading up to the armory (for scrying purposes for Sindra or more likely Grigolthan). Que a fetch that attacked the group's NPC and managed to kill him. The NPC is the best friend of one the characters, but the group's cleric level isn't high enough for them to cast greater restoration (for the level loss from the fetch attack) and can't bring him back via resurrect either. I'm thinking I'll have the Oracles offer to bring him back 'for a fee'. Maybe hide something they require inside the Midnight Spire mini adventure I'm gonna spring on them to kill downtime between the KoD and SoS.

My group's PCs are currently resting at the Oracles' spring. I figure they have at least 1 or 2 sessions before SoS is out. The still have the map from the Ghost Blade adventure from DLCS. They plan on following that once they finish with KoD. Between that and the first chapter of SoS I should be able to stretch it till its full release in April.
