I found a Calendar of the Flanaess on Canonfire! but there are quite a few holidays for which I need details. Specifically I'm looking for Osson's Ride, Almor's Tears, and Liberation Day in Brewfest. The first two don't seem to match up with the actual date of Osson's ride and the fall of Almor which occured during Goodmonth, and I know nothing of Liberation day. There are countless other holidays that I don't know about, too.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a more in-depth descriptor for the holidays, particularly those mentioned above?

Not sure if it has the ones you're looking for, but here's a link to a pretty good listing of major holidays all around the flanaess:

Amaril: Do you mean Clay Luther's Grehawk Calendar (pdf)? (It seems to be identical to http://www.geocities.com/greyhawkunbound/GHCalendar.pdf )

Almor's Tears is for the lesser god Wenta (Oeridian), and Liberation Day is for Dalt (Suel). And Osson's Ride is clearly...uh...the day that.... I have no idea.

Similarly, you've got this site:

Same stuff, but it looks pretty spiffy.

By the way, I completely made that part up. I'm just guessin'! ;)

Yeah, but it makes putting up a link an exercise in annoyance.

(We need a pouting smilie.)

Thanks for all of your posts. I appreciate the effort. The GHCalendar.pdf is exactly what I'm using. I've been to all of the above links, but they provide no information on what I need. I'd like to contact the original author to find out if those holidays were just made up or if there is an actual reference for them.

If you can get your hands on "The Adventure Begins," I believe that has a pretty good description of the Greyhawk calendar and its various festivals. I don't have one handy, though, so I'm not sure whether it addresses the specific festivals you mentioned.

I actually asked Clay Luther that same Q Amaril, when he first posted the calendar to Greytalk: he basically made the other holiday names up, many without any specific idea of what they'd be about/celebrate/etc.

I positively love his calendar, too: it's a great campaign events tracker, and we used in it extensively in Tizoc's Wild Coast campaign while it was still active last spring :D

Hmm... Any ideas which one are made up and which ones aren't? Do you have any contact information for Clay?

His email used to be claycle@CISCO.COM but I don't know if it's still active or not.

I just got a response.

I think the holidays came straight out of the source material. And sorry, no I don't have a non-holiday version. I'd have to go digging to find the original file in the first place :-).

I just got a response.

I'm glad to hear that Clay's still around :D

His original comments from Greytalk are:

In general, the calendar was made through osmosis, picking and choosing
details from the printed materials, other calendars on the web, and my own
imagination. As such it is a living document and suitably apocryphal.

Full details for the very curious at http://www.greycitadel.com/greycitadel/greytalk.nsf/%5Cgreycitadel/Greytalk.nsf/SearchResults/6BD791C0F15F6AAF85256A930062C7B9?OpenDocument

I wonder if Clay's local (Cisco's HQ is in San Jose...).
