From Gygax's Artifact of Evil:

"Iuz had many concubines- humans, semi-human, and demon-spawn as well. Who could say which he enjoyed most- beautiful, or horrifyingly malformed and ugly? Mamilian or reptilian? Iuz was a cambion, after all, the bastard son of a demon mated with a woman. In him, the worst of demon and human had combined to form the Ancient One. The Old, Iuz, Lord of Evil."

Verily cool eh?

Iuz is a fabulous villian, a puppetmaster in whom a DM can work both power and flaws (he is, afterall chaotic).

Artifact of Evil, in my opinion, is the qunitisential Greyhawk novel. It has always been under-rated by people, which is sad as it is a bloody good read!

and again:

"...the portals slammed shut at his wave, while several of the dretch who served as lackeys scuttled hurriedly to avoid being crushed. One was too slow, and the massive doors decapitated it as they closed. Iuz stayed still for a moment, enjoying the site of the headless body of the demonling flopping about."

...brutal...

Really brings this demigod to life eh?
