Where can I find some information on what happens to a person's soul after they die in Dragonlance?

e.g.
- does it go straight to the person's god?
- does it spend time in a sort of purgatory where it is judged?
- does it cease to exist?
- does it go to the deity's plane of existence (if they even have one?)?
- what if the person wasn't religious?
- etc....

The souls of the dead are supposed to pass out of the world through the Gate of Souls, and into the next world. They carry the weight of their experiences, their faith, their aspirations, their sins and their triumphs with them, and all of this moves the soul along toward its potential. Souls who have not accomplished all that they should, or who have bargained with dark powers or otherwise not become transformed in life may find that they are sent back, caught in the Abyss, or born again in order to continue the process. Eventually, the soul departs Krynn and travels onward to the Beyond, where its fate remains unknown.

Well my GUESS is that the Gateway of Souls is a lot like the afterlife of many worlds. Souls of the dead pass through the gateway and go to the plane more suiting their alignment and way of life. I have an Aroeba Theory, that Elven souls, go to Aroeba and become partioners on that plane, or transend to a new state of existance and become Eladrin. Human souls would go just about anywhere depending on their alignment. Planes are built on alignment after all, and draw those of like alignment to it.
