Just a simple question; what exactly is a Goblyn? I've read about'em in the War Against Azalin, and I know that they are not the simple, traditional goblins, yet I don't know what they are, besides the fact that they are somewhat strong and dwell in Forlorn. I'd be glad if someone could post stats or write a simple description.

Goblyns used to be humans but foul and dark magic transformed them into monstrous mockery of humanity. There's basically two kinds of Goblyns: those within and those outside of Forlorn. Stats wise, they are the same.
Most goblyns outside of Forlorn are victims of a spellcaster who purposely transformed them into faithfull servants (goblyns). A good example of this is the Crown of Souls in Feast of Goblyns. This crown turned any human wearing it into a goblyn who obeyed the one who put the crown on him. There's also an arcane spell which can transform humans into goblyns.

In Forlorn, goblyns were the non-druids who lived in the domain before it was cursed along its darklord, Tristen ApBlanc. Now, they obey Tristan has he orders them to destroy the forests so that he can wipe out the druids he hates so much.

Goblyns are monstrous humanoids with red eyes, long claws, hunchback, bald, and with a mouth occupying half it's face. They are merciless killers who enjoy inflicting pain to others. The goblyns in Forlorn, unlike those outside, have a society which is a twisted mockery of their former society.
