So, what exactly, when the novels finish their changing of Krynn's face...will the campaign setting look like in your opinion? Certainly Solamnia, the Minotaur Empire, and the Dwarves are in for a shakeup. What about the Elves? I think they'll remain in Diasporia for some time.

The Wizards are recovering quite nicely I think and will be back to being a power in Krynn even if they are not going to be fighting the Sorcerers to quite the level of PUREEEE EVILLL that they were portrayed in the Tower Trilogy. Without a Tower, I honestly question how things will go for them though.

Sargonnas I predict will be champion of the new Gods though since Chemosh is losing out royally in his mourning.

I have a hunch that the elves might find peace by the end of the Key of Destiny adventure (by the 3rd book) but I have nothing to confirm that. Just a hunch considering how much the history of the elves plays into the underlying storyline of the adventure.

Technically, the wizards *sort of* have 3 towers. One is a bit smashed up, but still intact. The other is known of, but currently inaccessible, and the 3rd is known at least to some black robed wizards. IF they can increase their membership, I think they will be a force to be reckoned with. Otherwise their relatively dwindling numbers could pose a problem.

As for the Sargonnas vs Chemosh thing, I wouldn't count Chemosh out yet, especially when he discovers that Mina isn't dead afterall.

We're calling it the Age of Mortals campaign trilogy: Key of Destiny, Spectre of Sorrows and Price of Courage. It's easy to just call all of it the KoD but when you finally see SoS you'll realize it's more than that.

Or AoMCT? No disrespect Cam, just didn't know what to call 'em. I had forgotten the name of the third book as well...

I was thinking it might be interesting if each of the 3 towers were 'assigned' to one of the orders of magic, with the caveat that all 3 orders were welcome to each of the towers, kinda like how it was when all the towers were still in existence.

The trick to that of course is overcoming the secretive nature of the tower in sunken Istar, and Dalamar revealing the location of the Tower in Nightlund.

The problem is that two of the towers are under the Dominion of the Black Robes. It's sort of skewed in the favor of the bad guys right now, if you catch my meaning. Unless Dalamar feels the need to switch to the cause of the Red robes, the balance is pretty much fracked.

Yet isn't Wayreth under the control of Jenna of the Red Robes - that'd mean Dalamar would have to go to the White

Ummm, no. Right now, despite not being able to occupy it, the Tower in Nightlund is still hidden from everyone but Dalamar, so it is really under his dominion still. Maybe he will play nice and give the Tower to Coryn to fix.

Didn't the gods of magic strip Dalamar of his Master of the Tower title and rebuke him from every entering the tower currently in Nightlund. That would mean that the Nightlund tower is fair game for all, but only Palin and Dalamar know it's location. Does the grove of pines surrounding the tower in Nightlund have an ability or did that vanish with the souls being able to pass through the gates? I thought there was also something about Dalamar never being able to become Head of the Conclave either because of his willingness to serve and aid Takhisis to re-enter the world.

The Tower's new grove has a strength sapping attribute. Also, the door gives one big burst of Strength drain. So a wizards is going to have a very hard time making it to the door. What I meant by Dalamar still having dominion over the Tower is that he is one of two people that knows where it is, so he can decide who is going to get it.

Nobody's in Nightlund right now, and Dalamar's not allowed in there. He's nursing his scarred face and helping Jenna rebuild Wayreth. The grove of cypresses surrounding Nightlund is exceptionally dangerous - it drains strength from those walking in it.

Ok, didn't know about the strength draining ability but the rest is as I thought. Cool.

Is the fear effect still intact in the Palanthas Grove?

Is the fear effect still intact in the Palanthas Grove?

I think it was briefly mentioned in the WoS. I think the fear aura is still there (albeit not as strong as when the tower was still there), but the undead Shoikan grove is gone now, then again I could be mistaken...
