Hi all,

Delurking for a moment here. I picked up Gaz V at a con recently, and just got around to reading it. Have a quick question. I'm assuming that the beautiful stranger our protagonist meets in Tepest is the Gentleman Caller. He refers to her having met five of his children and documented them in the books so far. One would be Mallochio Adare. Is it know who the other four are? I know bits and bobs about Ravenloft, and have read some of the older scenarios (I also picked up The Evil Eye at said convention - yay), but I've not heard of him having sired other children before, though it does make sense that he would have.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've not seen it addressed.

Thanks,
Morrigan

Hello again everyone.

That fraternity post was very helpful, but I've just had another thought to throw in front of you all. I was re-reading Gaz III - the introduction to be precise - and I've come up with another potential candiate to be an offspring of the Gentleman Caller. S.

While there's nothing in her conversation with the Gentleman Caller to suggest this, in the intro to Gaz III she mentions how her father did not believe her to actually be his child, considering her mother (who died in childbirth) to be unfaithful. She uses the term cuckoo's egg. This would certainly explain why Azalin choose her to be the subject of his great test on the demiplane, whatever that might actually be. And while the Gentleman Caller didn't make any reference to such a relationship, it's safe to say that he's going to say whatever best suits his needs, and he may very well not want her to know. I rather doubt Malocchio knows the truth of his parentage. And the little tirade the GC makes is clearly directed at Azalin, not S herself.

What do people think? Or has this been discussed to death and I just missed it?

I'm surprised no one has suggested the three hags as his children. To me they seem a perfect choice.

The sisters would make good candidates, only that they were born before their homeland became part of Ravenloft AFAIK.
