I quickly read the SoS preview about lothian plot.
I would like to understand WHO is "using" the Uleena spirit... Lothian? Or is free to act freely?? (forgive the play on words )

If the spirit of Uleena is "manipulated" by lothian, can He use other spirit to "guide" the party, rather then Uleena?

I'm asking for this 'cos i would like to motivate a Caotic Neutral Character to walk forward "the path the Gods have put before him" using the spirit of the his lost mother... (who He is searching and doesn't knowing that she is dead...)

It would be a great way to make the pc more helpful with the party and more resolute to proceed with the quest. And, also, to link the pc background woth the adventure...

Yes, the spirit in question is being manipulated by Lothian. No, he isn't very nice. I think you could always introduce beneficial spirits or visitations from the gods (Habbakuk and Mishakal are excellent choices) to motivate characters in a supernatural sense, but using Lothian as your agent doesn't really fit your intentions there.

More will be revealed in the book. Sorry I can't say anything beyond that!

k. The mother (from the PC background) was a nomad, NON-evil alligned mystic (probably CG or CN). The pc is a fighter/mystic but, in some way, follows zeboim.

How about a dream, sent by habbakuk? In the dream the "mother" say to the son...
and maybe, it will be a chance to let the pc to convert to habbakuk (if he want).

Unfortunatly , i don't know more about SoS and the Gods plot. Can i only know if gods of light know something about it was happening? Can habbakuk knows lothian (or chemosh) plot to send the dream to the player?

Finally, can you suggest something about what the mother can say in the dream, without reveling too much about what is written in the book?

Thanks!
