Hello,

We have finishing recently a planing session with White Wolf. We are pleased
to announce our future releases. Here's the scedule for 2005 and 2006
(dates of 2006 products can change).

Year 2005 schedule:

- Dark Tales & Disturbing Legends
Content as announced, but postponed to July 10th

- Van Richten's Guide to the Mists (Postponed to October 2005)
Within the mists, terror reigns. An exploration of the creatures who dwell in
the Mists and some speculations on those most mysterious elements
of the Dread Realm, like the vistani mist driving powers, travel time and
encounters for adventurers looking to reach lost islands in the mists.
After this book, the mists of Ravenloft will hold no secrets for you. 160 pages.

- Masque of the Jade Dragon (Now December 2005, may be January 2006)
Companion to the great Masque of the Red Death setting book for Gothic
Earth, the book develops more on Asian Gothic Earth and its features: local
thugs and ninjas, their links to the rest of Gothic Earth, dread feng shui, and
local exotic cuisine and poisons to frighten the Westerners (Three Squealers,
anyone?).
An already planned web enhancement to this book will explore conversion of
Gothic Earth to White Wolf's Masquerade. 390 pages.

2006 year propositions:

- Champions of Darkness II (Spring 2006)
This companion book will provide more new templates for the villains in your
campaign, like enforcers, master politicians, smugglers and evil novel writers.
A look at organization in the mists including more details on the Carnival
traveling show of freaks, the Kargat and their involvement in the brewing
Darkon/Barovian cold war (updates on this campaign), the Guardians with
more information on the mysterious master plan, as well as the Shadow
Knights of the Red Dots Circle.

- Van Richten's Guide to Black Seas Horrors (Summer 2006)
The depths holds more horrors then believed possible. An exploration of the
sea of the plane of Dread: pirates and sea monsters (of which a new
category of monstrous dread sponges, sea gypsys and the return of a
legendary monster of gigantic proportion).

- Ravenloft Gazetteer VI (Fall 2006)
This time, the mysterious S. explores domains in both seas surrounding the
Core of Ravenloft. The last book of the Gazetteer serie, and S. has an
important rendez-vous at Avernus in April 789. Will she be there? Will fools
try to stop her on her day of reckoning?

So, hope this helps clear up what White Wolf has to offer for the next year and half.

Take care,

J&N

...what kind of sense does it make for this to be the last book in the series? THere's still all the islands and clusters to cover.

Two books that will certainly end up in my gaming book shelves.
BTW, may I, just a humble minor brother, invite you to the dark and glorificious *Fraternity of Shadows*?

I think that mention of a *dread sea sponge* isn't to be taken too seriously...

Especially is it wears square-shaped pantaloons.

Hello everybody,

J&N has sent us an additional book for your dream list:

---

The live action game, Ravenloft: the Reality Series.

A spectacular new conjunction opens in the year 2006 allowing several reality series producers to discover and explore new territories for their elimination competitions. Crews are hired, participants are selected (these are the player characters) and the series begin -- soon a problem becomes obvious. Those who are eliminated can't leave!
Contains a whole new live action system involving gigantic plush d20s and the rules for extreme dodgeball, as well as guidelines for groups of live action players to form their own "reality series" with cool names like: "Last Knight," "The Wizard's Apprentice," and "Mist Factor." Special extra: instructions for making your own origami giant d20s. 1,433 pages (includes folding papers for origami project)

---

I'm waiting to enroll to that game too

And thank you J&N for allowing us to usurp your ID for a moment

OH NO!!!! I'm not liking the sounds of this already.

Anyone else get that midicloridian (sp?) feeling from this one?

Clearly a joke: the less popular book ever getting a follow-up?

"Darkon/Barovian cold war"

Really? They want to go bankrupt right?

I have no intention of rekindling the "Champions of Darkness: Yea or Nay?" quote unquote war, but it would be foolish to think that a single product in a line of products would be the cause for the entire line to be cancelled.

Regardless, your humour (if I read it right) is not entirely lost on me. ;)

And speaking of cancellation, to play that as an April Fool's joke would've been quite the prank. The emotional response alone would've been enough to blind people to the Ravenloft Dark Duo's Join Date (March 2005), and all the other hints that were peppered throughout the post. Some would probably have called it cruel, but I would've considered it plain, dark humour. :D

The chuckle as it were was appreciated by this fool.

Canceling the line as a joke would not have been funny

No, but it would've been a prank worthy of Loki's grin. ;)
