#1zombiegleemaxApr 05, 2005 1:18:18 | I was looking at the DM screen that came with the Revised Dark Sun Box Set and I noticed the lizard men riding the giant snake things with giant fangs and horns. What they heck are those things? ![]() ![]() Thanks to anyone who can solve the puzzle. :D |
#2xlorepdarkhelm_dupApr 05, 2005 1:30:45 | I think they are in Terrors of Athas. I don't remember the name of 'em. |
#3PennarinApr 05, 2005 2:40:20 | They're called Silmahacc and those are pterrans rather than lizard men. |
#4nytcrawlrApr 05, 2005 16:29:16 | They were called ptultops at one time, or something similar to that. |

#6xlorepdarkhelm_dupApr 07, 2005 17:13:45 | There should be info in Terrors of Athas from Athas.org. There's not much other than that - as the creature technically only existed on the DM screen for the lifespan of Dark Sun in AD&D 2E. Edit: Page 157 of Terrors of Athas. It's an animal, not a "monster". |
#7zombiegleemaxApr 09, 2005 2:54:09 | Thanks - Found it on page 171 of Terrors of Athas. Thanks for the help :D |

I think it was Brax that coined it, at least I heard it from him first. And it was a sort of joke. Since those are pterran riding the beasts, and had two heads... ptutop (pronounced "two-top") ![]() I know, I know... ![]() |
