Ok, mostly my thought is limiting things to the Elemental planes..

Could it be possible to survive on the elemental planes, without magical means?? Perhaps not in fire, or Magma or Sun (or Silt :P) But what about Earth? What about Water?? (If I take a Rhul Thaun water breathing mask to the elemental plane of water, toss in tons of ranks towards swimming, or get polymorphed permanently into a water breathing form.. what's to stop me from surviving there?? Should there be nothing but pure element there? or is it possible that there might be organice matter sufficient to survive on?? (seawead, fish, whatever) vegetables on Earth.. (free roasting of marshmellows on fire...) Birds in Air?? Could someone with little or no psionic or magical power survive such a strict realm? (Setting asside that they may not be wanted there that is...) And aside from food, what about shelter and building materials from earth.. endless flying in air, if you can breath it.. endless swimming in water.. (wrap a huge amount of wet towels around ya and truck into the border of Fire :P)

Any thoughts??

If you were a fighter or rogue who was transported to these planes.. are you instantly toasted?? (even if you're not on the plane of Fire? ;) )

I believe that there are naturally formed pockets of the other elements to be found on an elemental plane. My belief is that a elemental plane is predominately taken up or occupied by one element but not solely or only by it. For example; You could find an oasis of water on the Plane of Fire. Granted, it maybe steaming hot.

Just my to bits.
