I thought a helion would be a cool creature to have the Magian Fire-Worshippers IMC use as a means to learn more about elemental fire, etc. Of course, it's trapped in a large tomb-like room with magical glyphs and barriers, where the High-Magian (?) comes to have "conversations" with it from his 30' high balcony.

I'm hoping the PCs find the helion, learn of it's peaceful and philosophical nature, and choose to help it. But, just in case, i was hoping to have a 3E (preferably 3.5) conversion if they decide to "test" it.

Anybody have, or have seen, a conversion of the helion? (I checked Pandius and the EN World creature catalog. No luck.)

If you put in a request (on the creature catalgue), either as a new thread or as part of this thread:

http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=73262

then you should get some sort of response.

If I get time I might have a go myself.

Thanks, Gary. If I'm to use it, I'd need it in less than 18 hours, so I wouldn't ask anyone to try to hurry it for me. If I get the chance though, I may just have a shot at doing it myself just for the sake of interest. I can't recall every using a helion in a game before.

On another topic (but for tomorrow's game), What do you think an item that was crafted on the elemental plane of fire look like, and function/behave like, once brought to the Prime plane? Would a solid object be as solid fire? Just looking for some thoughts on describing such an item.

(This post marks a real mile stone for us here on the Mystara boards... sort of... this is the 5280th post! :D )
