It might just be me but the map of Ebberon seems like a prehistoric map of dragonlance.

You mean the map of Khorvaire? Only superficially....

The westren side of it seems like Erogoth yet to be seperated
Near "Eragoth'" you can find the new sea.
in the south east part you can find the desolation(just needs a bit of a push)
the mountains in the east can be pushed to the west and then we get the mountains of Nareka (thoght it really is kindof far from there)
you can also see the Silvensti forst just a bit west from the Desolation.

now that I think of it the part which suppose to be the northen ergoth is really similar. the woods of Hylo and the moutain which surronds them.

Not really when you compare it the pre-cataclysm map of Krynn. The resemblence does not quite matches up to any degree. For one things the New Sea never existed until the Cataclysm split that are of the lands apart.

Superficial resemblances don't mean much. Look at the map of Aber Toril in the FRCS. Then look at a map of Earth. See the similarities? Ebberon works vastly different than Dragonlance - there really is very little similarity between the two settings.

Sure Dragonlance and Eberron are pretty different, but the pre-Cataclysm map of Ansalon and the map of Khorvaire do have a lot of similarities. Ok, Khorvaire is almost the size of Eurasia and Ansalon about as big as Europe, but superficially they do resemble each other.

Istar has the Lhazaar Principalities and the Mror Holds in the east. Karrnath and the Talenta Plains are likewise in Istar. As you go west, you find the Scions Sound in Thoradin and the rest of Thrane. Then there's Valenar, Darguun, and Zilargo somewhere in Silvanesti and that Salifor (sp?) place. Mournland is somwhere in Solamnia or Silvanesti, I think... Breland and the Hilt are in Kharolis and Thorbardin and parts of Solamnia. Qualinesti has Droaam and southern Ergoth the Shadow Marches. Aundair and the Eldeen Reaches are in Solamnia and Ergoth and the Demon Wastes in Hylo () and northern Solamnia.
