The Education feat in War of the Lance gives a +2 bonus to two Knowledge skills. Both feats make all Knowledge skills class skills. WotL is newer, so it takes precedence. But is it correct? If so, it is better than all the other feats that grant +2 to two different skills...

Yup, the War of the Lance version is the newer, and therefore, correct version of the feat.

It isn't much better than other "+2 to 2" feats (Alertness, etc) and the 1st-level limitation makes this fall in line with the other feats. Really, the rogue gets the best use out of Education, with its large number of skill points and almost no Knowledge class skills. Spellcasters certainly find it useful, but they have fewer skill points to use.
