Ask me anything that you don't know or aren't sure about. I have been reading the books for almost 10 years. I have read the new and old books and have made guides and faqs on many websites.

Raistlin is my Favorite Dragonlance Character and I don't care what you think about him. I have studied his spells and know them by heart. He is my mentor.

You and everyone here =)
Some of us have been reading for 15 or even 20 years now. Most of us have almost complete collections, and all of us are well versed in the nuances of the setting. Welcome to the forums =)

Nothin' like a little self-confidence!

Some of us old "dinos" have been around for a couple of decades. These days I don't necessarily know everything about Dragonlance off the top of my head, but I definitely know where and who to go to find the answers! (Or, as Tracy Hickman is fond of saying, "I'll be happy to make one up.")

Welcome to the boards! Be sure to visit us over at Dragonlance.com as well.

Beware, some my take this as a challenge to "stump" you. :-)

Welcome, Blade!

I'll take that challenge!

Who were Gadar and Rieve and in what product did they appear?

:D

Come now Trampas, you could at least ask him something hard. ;)

Was Rieve in Towers of High Sorcery? Or maybe the A&A appendix?

Was Rieve in Towers of High Sorcery? Or maybe the A&A appendix?

He was in the Tales of the Lance boxed set and made his 3.5 D&D appearance in Towers of High Sorcery, but he was actually in a short story first ("Cat and Wren", which was first published in Kender, Gully Dwarves and Gnomes).

Gadar was also in Tales of the Lance but appeared first in the short story "Harvests" in Magic of Krynn. He hasn't appeared in any current product, at least not with a stat block.

Cheers,
Cam

Gadar is also mentioned with Castle Uth Krevan in Towers, though as Cam says, no stats.

So is that the product you were thinking of?

Sorry it was me who answered, though. I was supposed to leave that to the super-experts.

I was mainly thinking of Tales of the Lance, actually. Forgot the short story mentions.

There there, Cam. Maybe someday you'll be a super-expert too. ;)

I was thinking that Rieve was the animal-wizard in Towers, but since they were mentioned together, I was thinking maybe they were from the A&A appendix, but I got it right on the first guess! Whoo hoo, my first right trivia answer! Look out Uzi, here comes RR!

Nice one RR.

I hope one day when I grow up to be big and strong, that I become a super-expert too! Do they give out badges for that? :P

Well go me. I found out who is a moron, jerk, and an idiot. Do you think I would start something like this with only 15 years of experience? Answer: NO!!! I have actually been reading 25 years. So congratulations earlier mentioned, you are chosen to be the king of imbeciles. :P

Easy there, big fella. People are just having a bit of fun - rolling into any message board and declaring your expertise guarantees that sort of response.

Laugh it off and stick around to enjoy the discussions with fellow Dragonlance fans.

I thought you had all of the badges already? At least that's what they told me when I tried to get one for myself. ;)

Yeah, what Clark said. I mean it's kinda 'ballsy' to come onto a forum and make that kinda declaration and not expect some kind of ribbing. Generally speaking though, most people here aren't malicious, but they won't pass up an opportunity to 'have fun' with someone either. :P Especially since some of the authors of the Dragonlance world pop onto these boards from time to time, and read a declaration like that...

wait a minute BC states that he's been reading DL for 25 years. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the first published DL supplement, module happen in 1984. Lets see 2005-1984= 21. So no name calling if you can't do basic math.

Yes that is true, but I was friends with one of the authors kids and got to read them while still in the developing stage.

So I guess I am lucky.

Careful that you don't seem too interested in what's happened to him. You're new, he was new, etc.

And seriously - trim the sig down, dude.
