I was hoping to get some feedback on the look of each of the SKs. This would include both in their natural form and the illusions they chose to wear. I am looking for how they are perceived by one another and by their people as well. In particular I am looking for info based on the PP series and the campaign material. However, if you filled in holes with your own particular ideas please include them

Check "The Cerulean Storm" pages 10 & 11.

The 6 levy paying Sorcerer Monarchs are physically described.
Tithian doesn't like seeing them all in the same boat.

BtPP also has some brief descriptions of the surviving SKs as well.

Yeah, I have referenced the novels, although I don't have the vast majority of my supplements as they are all in storage. I am looking for ideas/descriptions of what you think the way in which the SKs carry themselves, the guises they use, their personalities, etc. Also, any ideas on Daskinor, Oronis, and those who were killed before the events in the PP series.

I am working on a few things and hoping to get as much color and flavor as possible. Thanks for the replies.

Hmmmm, I think there was a thread that went into this a few months ago. I can't remember the thread's name/topic though

Rise and Fall of a Dragon King has a description of several guises taken on by the sk's.

I'll dig it out and post that info in a bit.

The way I see it (this is by no means official) they probably have up to three forms that they regularly take on. The first is a human form. We know Kalak did this and Hamanu, too. For that matter, I believe Andropinis did, as well. This form is basically a human or a "slightly greater than" human (like Andy - he appeared as a seven foot tall bald human with sharpened teeth and pointed ears, if I remember right). This is an illusion. This is one point I disagree with Lynn Abbey on, though: I don't think it's a simple "holograph-style" illusion that covers them. Instead, it is a polymorph spell - I would think they would be capable of those spells.

The second form is one that signifies their "god-like" shape. Hamanu, for example, turns into a giant bipedal lion. If I had to guess, I'd say Lalalai Puy grows branches or bark or something, Tec probably had jaguar features, and so on. This one is also an illusion/polymorph.

The final form is the real one and is the dragon. While the dragon forms will be subtly different, they will all reasonably follow the description in Dragon Kings.

Oronis is the exception to this. I'd imagine he flits around his town in full-on butterfly (Avangion) form.

To further support Dawn's "Forms of Three" theory, Dregoth appears as an zombie-like undead dragon (true form), a living fully metamorphosed dragon, and a golden hue dray.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I have some concrete ideas for SKs I was hoping to depict. Although, Lalali-Puy is still somewhat annoying in that her human form is giving me issues.

Thanks for your help guys.

In my game, Kalak was really an old small diminutive men hiding is dragon feature under clothes. That how I like my Kalak, he look weak but when he act, he is powerfull and ruthless beyond anything. When he changed into dragon, it was like in the Prism pentad, but more cool. ()as you know, my player killed Kalak while he was transforming, and it was a big battle with Kalak unleashing spell and psionic. In prism pentad, is like a giant larva on the ground (sort of).

Androponis appeared slighty different in my game than Troy used to. He is still tall (7') but look old, like Kalak, but with an hawkish nose and long ear and white hair. His always dress like the ancient Greek were.

I made Hamanu appear twice as a giant lion-men in rich clothing (he change cloth everyday never wearing the same suit), so for now, I assume is always like that. Also, Hamanu wardrobe is huge. Also, in my game, Hamanu is a third stage dragon (level 23) even in the year of the priest defiance. In draconic form, he look kinda like the original Dragon or Tyr in the old boxset.

-The player never met the Oba in my game yet, but I plan to make her appear as a godlike nude female with perfect feature. I like the idea of tree Dawnstealer gave, so I think I will burrow this idea. Maybe changing into a great Treant when she fight (for the one here that saw the movie Evil dead 2).

- Borys in my game look like the dragon on the cover of VoDaF and Nibenay appear like in Marauder of Nibenay, but since he is hidden in the Naggamarakam, the player will probably never see him.

- Tec appear with an eagle head and a Roc feather crown. His 11 foot tall.

ok..

rise and fall of a dragon king p.175-187

all SK's present in "silk and jewels or sparkling armor..."

Sielba - flame haired, places lustful images into Hamanu's mind
From this I can imagine her taking the form of an extremely beautiful woman with red flames for hair.

Borys - powerfully built like a dwarf but tall, with braided, pale hair, and blue fiery eyes.

Hamanu - "as tall as Borys of Ebe, but lithe and graceful...long black hair...calm gray eyes."

Sacha - described as being akin to a jozhal in appearance, and overdressed

Pinnarin takes Sielba's form when confronted by Hamanu, and it seems like he's probably almost never in his natural form (even without being a dragon).

Albeorn and Gallard, at least, are there but not described (must be later - I'll look later), although Andropinis is described well enough in the Obsidian Oracle.
