Hi, as I've been out of things for some time, but have been keeping track of written articles and books, I'm wondering what takes precedence here when writing something for general use. The athas.org v3.5 rules or any of those presented in Dungeon (#110) and Dragon (#319)?

I'm guessing it's the athas.org work, but just to be sure...

(Particularly regarding the various 'Inborn Power' racial traits, which seem like an interesting take on the original Wild Powers)

Either rule set is equally official. so, its really up to the DM to decide which to follow in any given circumstance. Although, I must add, that the athas.org rules stays so much closer to cannon (not to mention keeping the feel right), that's really not even funny.

Know what you mean, the Dragon (#319) article was a bit of a plug for the Expanded Psionics Handbook rather than true to the existing world. However, the new races were at least plausibly written in, especially the Elan connection with The Order.

The athas.org conversion doesn't take into account my bearded Dwarf Half-Celestial Paladin of Aztetuk...

It seems like most of the people in this forum use the athas.org material, although some use the Dragon articles (conversion would be an understatement) and some still use 2nd edition exclusively.

One thing to consider: the athas.org conversion is FREE, so more people will have access to that ruleset than to the Dragon articles.
