I was just wondering if anyone knew how to make an "official-looking" character sheet.  The official AD&D 2e sheets have everything my group needs, I just don't like the layout.  Well any insight would be appreciated.

rpgsheets.com usually has whatever you need for sheets.
Personally, I like the official one.
What is it you don't like?

I just make my own sheets using Excel.  I can adjust columns and rows to any height I want, easily draw lines around cells, can add formulas to automatically update THAC0 and saving throws when I update XP, etc.  My personal preference is to have a character sheet that is customized to my needs and is easy for me to use.

Excel is an excellent program for character sheets.  I've used it with linked formulae to make character tracking for maths-heavy systems (like Rifts) and it does take the headache out of character advancement.

In my present campaign, I use it to track the xp of all characters, with a linked cell showing each levels' xp goals.  Very handy all round.

I use a 2e sheet I found online that has a real nice format and even includes a section on the back of an outline of the human form showing places where your items are. Pretty cool sheet I must say. I think I might have downloaded it from Dragonsfoot.
