There was a thread here that had a link to a site where some dedicated person had posted 3.5 stats for Greyhawk NPCs. Can anyone give me a link to this site? Thanks in advance!

That would be duicarthan's site:
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Fortress/5497/

He says everything on the webpages is OGL, but the pages include names like Bigby, Rary, Tenser, etc. Can he do that?

This might be more up to date actually.

While this certainly appears to be a commendable work, I have to say I'm disappointed. Seeing all those stats makes me think someone wants GH to become FR with all the important people in the world being Epic Level and such. GH has a long-standing tradition of hosting few such characters. Characters that reach Epic Level in GH are world-turners. If there were that many Epic Level characters in GH, I have a feeling the world would start falling apart.

I agree totally, but the whole premise of the site is to provide epic level sample characters for GH. I've never agreed with the notion that Mordenkainen and Eclavdra, whose stats were printed in the Epic Handbook, should have been as high level as they were either (27 & 26, I think), for that matter. They were Levels 20 and 17 respectively in 585 CY and nobody else seems to have rocketed up that fast!

However, the site is a great source of inspiration, particularly for proposing prestige class variants for some of the npcs. I will probably use it to create lower level 3.5 versions of those npcs using their original stats, rather than the bumped up ones on the site, which seems to operate on a 'High Magic' campaign assumption.

Awesome glad ppl like the site, thanks mort for the heads up for me. I've been busy lately =P

Anyway, I offer the NPC's there as templates for what they could be, I've started at the higher end but if you check the NPC Encyclopedia's you'll find theres plenty I haven't got to finish yet. =/

As for OGL, well you could consider it that or a reference guide, as I am not posting the actually texts of the books, only character stats and at that many of them have leveled or I've added new perspectives with prestige class options there.

What anyone does with my work is their own business, though as I said its a template one can go up or down in levels, magic items, stats, whatever. Its all up to you, now you at least have a handy reference. =)

How about the heroes who foiled Lolth and her drow-giants alliance? Those guys had some awesome names: Gleep Wurp the Eyebiter (NG human wizard 12); Cloyer Bulse the Magsman (N human rogue 13); Roaky Swerked (LN human cleric 12); Frush O'Suggill (LG human fighter 14); Fonkin Hoddypeak (LG high elf fighter 5/wizard 8); Flerd Trantle (LG human cleric 9); Redmod Dumple (LN dwarf fighter 9); Faffle Dwe'o-mercraeft (N human wizard 9); and Beek Gwenders of Croodle (CG half-elf ranger 9). By the way, where in the Flanaess is Croodle?

Those NPC's will be addressed in file 3 of the Encyclopedia. It includes monsters, modules, and Dungeon mags I might have missed along the way.

Sort of a blended errata file. That file is proving to take a long time to finish as well. As most of my research material is misplaced at my parents place. So thats on hiatus till I can get all the files together. Which rest assured, I plan to soon. =)

If you need the old-school stats for any of the pregenerated PCs from G1-2-3, or the heroes from A1-4 (Blodgett, Elwita, Ogre, etc.), let me know, and I will post them here. Cheers!

Neat!

I seem to remember Mordenkainen being just a 27th level wizard and Eclavdra a 23rd level cleric. Were their stats updated somewhere down the line? And if so, where? Or did you update them and the others yourself?

Either way, thanks!

Those are Duicarthan's own stats. He up-leveled most of the NPCs quite a bit.

Which is ok if you ask me. 3E did raise the general powerlevel...

yeah 3e raised the bar a LOT. If you tried to run most 1e adventures with 3e characters expect a lot of TPK's b/c the ECL or CR's are just too high for them once the NPC's are converted.

I beleive I also have Mordy and Eclavdra up on the page there, you've just got to look em up there. =)
