Apologies to Pringles

I just wanted to apologize to Pringles.

I don't think he will probably recieve this, but I feel it is the right thing to do. I know I should have apologized earlier and that I never should have behaved such an antagonistic manner in the first place. I could have behaved in a much more mature manner and deeply regret my actions.

I don't expect this to gain anything from this posting, and I will refrain from posting on in this forum from here on out, but I thought I should say my peace first.

He says he will refrain from posting, not that he was banned.

I would like to seize the occasion to apologize to anyone who feels I owe them an apology.

As for the others: I regret nothing! You deserve whatever I did to you!

However, I will not refrain from posting.

PS: I saw there hasn't been added anything to the German part of the MTL aside from what I did. Would it help you if I filled out the rest? Or do you not have any plans on German maps so far?

-No, nothing got deleted. I didn't write anything bad about Pringles.-

Hunh? I thought everyone was ignoring me. Right after I posted a "Translation" of one of Pringles' posts, it seemed like everyone started ignoring me, because I posted a dozen times after that and no one responded to any of my posts. I dicided to test my theory by posting a bunch of Air Cleric domains that I wrote up; something I thought for sure someone would respond to. No response to date. Anyway I thought I had severly offended, and was being ignored.

Now I feel really stupid . Either way the apology still stands, there was no need for me to be antagonistic.

Gulg and everything else will die as part of a huge invasion of Kreen, whom have been manipulated by the Dark Lord of the Dead Lands.

When every soul on the Tablelads is engaged in a struggle against the Kreen and are on the brink of destruction an army of 100,000 horrific undead beings will rise up from their obsidian wasteland and strike the city-states from behind.

Absolutely agreed. It's one of those things that worked really well in 2e, but is relatively hard to convert to 3e. Since it was so long in coming, a lot of us just jumped on the horse and made our own conversions, leading to many different views of how it should be handled, whether it should be balanced, and so on. That's why my posts on the subject typically state: "Do what works in your campaign." Basically, that means that I've posted so many times on that subject that to say anything more would be needlessly redundant, or that the topic has so real solutions, only opinions, so it's hard to reconcile those.

No more Dragon/Avangion threads unless it's REALLY something new and original (trust me, it won't be).

No more Kalak threads (he was a champ - accept it).

Epic Enchantments (yar).

Dim Sun (ug).

Athas.org are full of suck because... (they're working for free? Yeah, these topics get me riled up, even though I'm not an official member).

I personally am of the belief that Dragons and Avangions were not done well in 2E. In fact, the rules seem hastily whipped together and incomplete at best. That's why I made my own conversion - because I personally really believe that what the 2E rules were, was horrible. Still do. Unfortunately, it looks like the official conversion is ending up like the 2E conversion in that regard, so most likely, once I get my site fired up again, I'll be doing my own conversion once more, independent of the one coming from the Epic Bureau.

I have to agree with you on that one. That rules for them didn't make much sense. The Athas.org rules are much better. (there should be an Avangion icon to go with the dragon one.)

Jon, don't be a jerk. I already told you I was unaware of the existence of that game. The name comes from two Latin words, Terminus (Boundary, end, terminal point) and Vortexa an improperly declined version of the word Vertex (Crux point, also vortex, depending on context) and roughly translates as a whole into Vortex to the End of Boundaries, Limitless, End Point, etc. This refers primarily to a horribly effective trick of Defiling, using Noonan's rules and the spell Dwoemer of Transferrence (from the ExPsiHB). Basically, you can defile to regain expended spell levels, then cast spells on yourself, which are absorbed by the Dwoemer of Transference and converted into PP. Through defiling, the end result is unlimited PP and spell levels. A limitless weilder of power. The name was designed after the idea, not the other way around.

Yeah, if you post something Sage, and no one responds, it means they agree with your idea, bashing a concept brings more posts.. unless you ask a question, then they are simply bored with the concept and have nothing to contribute..

Personally, I found it interesting how this thread became slightly a "Web Ettiquette" topic.. where people showed they can be polite.. amazing huh..

Whats wrong with Dragons / Avangions?? I thought Advanced Beings were what made Athas unique?? Though the same "aspect" of dragons and avangions is always hit.. How many HP how much power, what abilities.. blah blah blah.. I wanna hear more about the unique personalities and traits of "new" dragons / avangions.. and I wanna hear more on them dang elemental clerics!! the AB ones! I wanna see an army of them swoop down and do something! Start a Jihad!! (how do you spell that??) I want to see druidic spirits of the land take a more active role.. say in some secret valley.. Why is it the carnivorous dragons are the only ones not cowering in fear and hiding??

I wanna hear more about unique new guys.. like.. the TERMINUS VORTEXA!!! (Hope I spelled the name right). ;)

The Terminus Vortexa is a drastic solution to problems above and beyond the scope of Athas. He is the first and only Thri-Kreen Dragon, created by an entity of great power to be a kind of champion against certain very potent evils and a guardian of the planet Athas, which is going to be used as a kind of "Ark" in my game , to preserve life while the rest of the multiverse is rendered asunder and remade. While he defiles freely when necessary, he uses psionics to help undo the defiling damage he caises,he also has allies who are AB clerics and AB druids, who use potent psionic enchantments to undo his defiling damage after his battles, as well as working to restore Athas in general, so it will be a better vessel for life of all kinds (Planar, Prime and Elemental) while cataclysmic events take place outside the barrier that is the Grey. I have him set up as an Erudite/Wizard/Cerebremancer/MindMage/Dragon.

The carnivorous dragons are the ones not cowering in fear and hiding because they are the ones who WON. The preservers/druids/clerics lost. If an advanced cleric or druid, or avangion pops his head up then the SK's will stomp them back into oblivion. Any of them, like oronis, are probably in hiding somewhere outside the tablelands. The druids might be active in a secret valley - and as long as it remains secret thats fine. The SK's seem quite content to rule their cities and leave the preservers/druids/clerics/slaves mostly alone - they arent a threat.
Have you noticed that new dragons / avangions keep getting killed?? Thats because they are a threat. and the remaining SK's are probably going to be even MORE proactive now that there are less of them and they feel under threat from the changing face of athas.

You can go to Baator as well, Rhul-Than sage. I withdraw my encouragement for you to resume posting. And if you want to make fun of names, check the spelling of yours.

My idea is unique and original. I've had a campaign running for the better part of ten years, through 3 editions of D&D, and when you actually manage to make something work for that long, you need to come up with new stuff, rather than drawing on old material in a neverending loop. And these boards are for sharing ideas. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. I stopped bashing on other people's stuff long ago, and would think that type of courtesy would be universal on a public forum. I'm not sure if you're one of the stereotypical GMs, 40 years old, living in your mother's basement, and never had a girlfriend that wasn't digital, printed, or plastic, but my bet is that you are, if you actually waste the time and effort to insult me on a forum and encourage others to do so. I feel diminished by the fact that I have to waste time retaliating against the typewritten slander of someone like you. I told Sederqvist to stop busting on my name, because it's an ongoing irritation. I don't need some dweeb who probably camped out overnight to see the new Star Wars flick jumping on the bandwagon when one person begins to irritate me for absolutely no reason.

Hmmm... on second thoughts, there's probably a better way of putting that...

Canadian Beer is good. Drink more beer.

"La Fin du Monde", if you can get some.

Although it means The End of the World, it's only 9%. But it has a map of Québec province on the label...

Else, I like rum & coke. But replace the coke with some more rum: no sense wasting precious drink space with non-alcoholic beverages.

Have you ever noticed that your name, spelled backwards, is cranole?

Not that it's relevant or means something in any language that I understand, but it might have some funny meaning in some other language. Perhaps in nibenese. Or in pikey.

Molson XXX?! I didn't know we had that. Is it supposed to be Molson Triple X Vin Diesel beer, Molson 30% alcohol beer or Molson porn beer? Or is it that you think a single X is not enough? :P

So far, on Saturday I have to drink -
a sixpack of Becks
1 Guinness
1 Fosters
2 Black & Tan
1 La Fin du Monde
1 Molson X
2 or so Pineapple Rum drinks

That's 14 so far. In addition to however many of the 150+ people at the party insist I drink one with them for old time's sake (haven't been home in 2 years, except for a funeral)

Anything else? I need to know by midnight or so, cause I'm leaving tomorrow and I'm going to phone over my list to the person in charge of procuring liquor for the party tonight.I'm not looking forward to Sunday.I'll probably need a lobotomy just to relieve the pressure in my skull!

This thread as become very strange in fact... hum...

This started with someone that made an apology,

which one said not to be true,

peoples wondered what it might be,

although nothing was found cause of absent wiz_o,

since nobody was found guilty of anything,

we needed a guilt,

so peoples started insuilt each other for no reason,

because they needed to find a reason to apologize to each other... hum...

Well resumed I think. :surrender

I don't know if being the Seventh Champion could help you get the citizenship...

But you have to answer questions the likes of:

"Have you ever commited war crimes or crimes against humanity?"

And swear allegiance to the Queen of England and all her descendants.
Now, as I understand it, our southern neighbors keep guns to prevent the King of England to enter their homes and start shoving them around...

Sorry, can't do it, I refuse to swear allegiance to any political leader, whether they have real power or not.

Look I admited that my name was spelled wrong, before anyone even pointed it out to me. I can't change that now.

I grant that your consept is unique and original.

For your information, I am 23 and married, do not attend any gaming conventions or wait in line to see geeky movies, though I do watch them ocassionally.

I wasn't attempting to slander you, nor do I find your name to be humorous personally, but I don't understand why it irritates you so much that Jon does.

Lastly, your thri-kreen dragon is munch-tastic :D , don't try to deny it. I stand by that statment, but fail to see how it could be construed as a personal attack.

Actually, he mispelled it. I hate having wasted time on insulting Sage, but I was pretty irritated. I should know better, but do not regret my statements. I just get really bitter when people talk smack. Your perspective is respected by me, DracoChapel, and I will refrain from further retaliatory insults. It's a waste of time and a discredit to myself, and to the others who need not read such things. Anyhow, I'm out of time. Time to continue packing for the move back home. So much to do, and only a few days until the welcome home kegger. I'll drink a beer for all the good people on the board. And some mead for sederqvist. :D Heck, tell me what your favorite beverage is, everyone, and I'll drink one in your honor! Gotta go. Buffalo, NY awaits my return.

I hold no grudge. Enjoy your beer.
